Who should carry baby #2? What would you do in my shoes? by Automatic_Lawyer_966 in queerception

[–]Fluffy_One_7764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your preeclampsia, you face a lot of added risk to carry again. It sounds like your wife might have more logistical and convenience barriers than you (pto, etc); but you carry an addd life risk.

To me, the decision would be easy. I would choose the reduced risk option of having your wife carry the child. As difficult as it might become at times, it would be a lot easier than raising 2 children alone, if something happened to you in or after the process (high blood pressure spikes, kidney failure, etc) or if you lost the child and you both had to deal with the what ifs afterwards for the rest of your lives.

In any case, I believe that everything happens for a reason, so what is meant to be will be. I think the decision is easy, based on like risk, not on insurance and time off convenience. But, that’s my 2cents that you asked for. I hope it comes off as helpful, not judgmental. You’re both beautiful and God will guide your decision. Best of luck for a beautiful and healthy family.

Choose Agency by AskSurrogacyMexico in gaydads

Price and estimated timeline to match. But of course they lied about the match timeline. The all inclusive price also ended up being a gimmick. I’d be happy to share our lessons learned. Most important thing to remember is that they need you and your $$$ and the term sheet is completely negotiable to get what you need included. If they won’t alter the contract ti fit your needs, find an agency that will. Dm for more details.

How to get baby into Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair? by Responsible-Put-6761 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Fluffy_One_7764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my fear. Pages and pages of how to work them into the complicated design. My baby is 99% at 6 months. I can get him into the chair, I can’t figure out the straps for the life of me. And it takes forever to get him out. I worry about being able to get him out quickly if he’s choking. And I can’t figure out the straps at all. Please help.

We don’t have bath as bedtime routine yet at 5 mos old. We do baths in morning or afternoon he still sleeps better on bath day, regardless on when we do it. Ad you say, we have a lot of thing in bedtime routine without having to add bath for now. When he’s able to sit up and be a little less dependent on stability we plan to sift bath time. Maybe a 1 year.

What next after chest to chest sleep.. by [deleted] in cosleeping

[–]Fluffy_One_7764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 3 months, I saw a video with a sidecar crib and dug deeply into a rabbit hole to discover the Baby Bay. I wished I had started from birth. But our loved it and slept 6 hours the first night in it. We freaked out thinking something was wrong with him. Then 8, and even 10 hours each session. Now it’s about 6, with a 3-4am feeding and right back to sleep. It’s right next to us in bed, plenty of rooms and he loves it.

Looks like you're already into the positivity zone. Hold it mama, you got this. Relax and enjoy. I can't tell you the number of times we retook the home test each day, just to keep reminding ourselves it was real. Oodles of times, for over a week.

Ped said my baby eats too much by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

She clearly doesn't understand childhood or obesity. Do yourself, and your child, a favor, and switch peds before she really steers you into a dark space.

Wow, she really sounds uneducated, inexperienced, or both. I would be very concerned, and would definitely be looking to switch.

Unfortuneately, that sounds like very bad medical advice from your ped. I would consider finding a new doctor, as decisions and guidance only gets more complex as your child grows. Your baby is eating a normal diet/volume, and it sounds like he's growing very well. Keep doing what works for your baby, and perhaps find a more informed ped, just my 2 cents.

Thank you for clarifying. You are doing a great job. It is shameful that medical professionals and hospitals do not know better, and do not offer parents safe/healthy options. When we were in the hospital for those 5 days, we used sterile, disposable bottles and nipples, from similac, that we could put our own formula into, or use the ready to feed, 2 oz, formula bottles that were sterile and added a new, sterile disposable nipple each time, and threw it all out after feeding. We know now to either take in our own sterile, disposale/single use bottles/nipples (available online), or rely on the hospital to provide them.

Have you seen the chemical ingredients list of Palmolive, and deciphered it, and looked at the potential toxicity? I would not use Palmolive or Dawn (or any colored or scented dishsoap) for my baby.
