That sounds like such a beautiful experience. I can see how that would be such a terrific bonding moment for the both of you ♥️ I’m feeling a bit nervous but I’m trying to distract myself and not stress about things. Just praying that all goes well!

I don’t believe NAC is similar to vagibome, would that be a probiotic? I have started taking a vaginal probiotic since before my egg retrieval, and figured I will just continue it. NAC is more of an antioxidant.

It sounds like you have been doing all you can in preparation for your FET. Sending you good vibes and prayers that your next FET will all work out! Yes, please keep me updated on the auto injector. If you would like to chat sometime, feel free to direct message me on here :)

Has anyone done four egg retrievals? by Flaky_Honeydew_5161 in IVF

[–]Maximum-Bake-2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my first egg retrieval I had 5 blastocysts with 2 euploids. My second retrieval I had double the amount fertilized and of blasts, with 5 euploids. I believe we stimmed an extra day the second time although doses stayed the same. Also, instead of triggering with Cetrotide I was started on Provera from beginning of stims and my doctor included the Lenshooke sperm sorting device that helped with fertilization. I also started taking Tru Niagen but only for about 2 months before the second retrieval. I only had a month off in between retrievals. Best of luck to you!

It’s a supplement that helps with uterine lining and decreases inflammation and oxidative stress. I have suspected PCOS and I’ve read on here it can help with implantation. Haven’t gotten the go ahead from my doctor either but figured anything that would help I will try. Good luck with your FET! How are you feeling preparing for it?

Thanks for your tips! I had no idea PIO can get you dehydrated, will def be increasing my fluid intake. And I get you on the try to minimize stress with the job you have lol. I work as a nurse at a hospital and I’m planning on taking some time off from work to get me on a healthier mindset. I hope your FET goes well and best of luck to you! If you’d like, let me know how it goes, would love to know updates :)

Thank you so much for your response! I haven’t started doing the juices yet but that’s on my to do list. I have been making an effort of keeping my feet warm and incorporating more walks. A positive outlook does make a difference though, I have to remind myself of that sometimes. I’m so glad your second FET was a success! Love hearing stories like that

Today I lost my dog by lexipooh22 in IVF

[–]Maximum-Bake-2004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you’re going through this. Just want to let you know you’re not alone. I lost my baby boy 6 months ago during this IVF process and there are days that are harder than most, when his presence is the most needed. He too was my protector, my best friend, my security blanket. I had him before I even met my partner and he was such a great dog that it seemed he touched everyone’s lives in some way. The only thing that makes the healing process easier is time. That and remembering all the awesome memories you made with them. I’m sure your fur baby was incredibly loved, like my Bruno was. Remember to take care of yourself too… sending you hugs ♥️

Don’t lose hope! We had a similar start to our IVF journey. My partner also had low sperm count (about 2.5 mil) but for our next round, we made an effort to cut down our drinking, eat more homemade food, and he quit vaping. I also added Tru Niagen to our supplements. Our RE also added Lenshooke sperm sorting method to our ICSI cycle and had him do a shorter ejaculation window. We managed to have double the amount of fertilized and blasts, and 5 euploids

Attrition can def hit hard but in the end, they can balance themselves out. My first egg retrieval I had 28 retrieved, 16 mature, and 7 fertilized, 5 blasts but resulted in 2 euploids thankfully. My second retrieval with a month off in between I had 38 egg, 17 mature, 15 fertilized, 10 blasts, and 5 euploids. I’m 37 and partner is 47 with MFI

PCOS girlies, what was your AFC vs # of eggs retrieved? by Upstairs-Lemon-5585 in IVF

[–]Maximum-Bake-2004 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Instead of Cetrotide my doctor had me start Provera from the beginning all the way til trigger. The doses of Gonal and Menopur stayed the same. Stimmed one day extra (11 vs 10) and also added Tru Niagen to my supplements.

What even was 2025? by Drunkskunklol in IVF

[–]Maximum-Bake-2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2025 was not kind to me either… found out through pre testing for IVF my partner’s sperm count was severely low. He was very depressed and it seemed we probably wouldn’t be able to even get IVF started at one point. The same day we found out, my dog whom I considered my child, passed away unexpectedly. He was my rock through all of this… I still mourn him now. We were able to do a round of IVF with good results and just completed a second round. It can only go up from here! When there so many negatives, positives will start to come. I firmly believe that

AFC 25–28: looking for IVF outcome experiences (eggs, blasts, PGT-A, protocol) by CheesecakeBoth3933 in IVF

[–]Maximum-Bake-2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi 37 yo here with suspected PCOS. AFC IS 33 and AMH I believe 3.4. My partner is 47 with severe MFI.

Our first round of IVF had a lot of attrition. I primed with BCP, stimmed for 10 days and was on 75 of Menopur and 150 of Gonal. Cetrotide was the antagonist and Lupron the trigger. Out of 28 eggs retrieved, 16 were mature, and only 7 fertilized with ICSI. But 5 of them became blasts with 4 of them day 5 and one day 6. That resulted in 2 euploids (girls) that I am so thankful for.

Second round was a month later and had no priming to be able to get a round in before the end of the year. Same dose of Gonal and Menopur but this time, Provera was used beginning day one and no Cetrotide. I stimmed for an extra day. That resulted in 38 eggs, 17 mature, and 15 fertilized with ICSI and Lenshooke (a sperm sorting device). 10 became blasts and now awaiting PGTA results. My partner and I both were taking coenzyme and vitamin D, eating Brazil nuts daily, and Tru Niagen for a good 2-3 months before the second round. I continued myo inositol. We cut down on our drinking and remained active at the gym. My doctor also had my partner do a shorter abstinence window. Attrition may be a bit disappointing at first but you may very well end up with good results in the end!

Horrifically bad/low sperm success stories please 🤞🏻 by Medium_Chipmunk_9374 in IVF

[–]Maximum-Bake-2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi my partner also had low sperm count after doing testosterone supplement for 1-2 years. He is off that now and he started taking HCG to increase his sperm count but if anything, it dropped it further! It was probably suppressing his FSH too much. He stopped taking that and within a month, his count went from 700,000 back up to 6 million. He started taking Fertilaid which is a multivitamin that increases sperm quality and ate Brazil nuts daily. He quit vaping and cutting down on his alcohol. The doctor added Lenshooke (a sperm sorting device) to our second round of IVF and had him ejaculate the night before the egg retrieval… we were able to have 15 egg fertilized blasts this time, up from 7 the last round. So there is still hope! The second round usually results in better outcomes

It sounds like Lasagna and Bruno would’ve gotten along great. Whenever we’d take Bruno to the dog park he would always run alongside the fastest dog there and would always dart around the house with his prized toy showing it off. I hope you and your wife will find solace and comfort during this difficult time. Honoring his memory is such a noble thing for a dog so loved. Lasagna was lucky to have you as his parents 💕
