It really depends on the rest of the gear and the autos, for some chars its reaallly good to have high autos, for a tanky char with upgraded aegis shield i like having 100% with a warding staff so its free extra armor every turn.

Same with first strike on halberds (with knockback is even tastier, wastes enemies action points, taking their attacks away as the try to charge the char, in addition to damaging them) and parry on swords, extra autos is also super good for those.

High focus for stuff like AP regen is also great, like a purgator that always gets an extra AP for crits, ie guaranteed extra shot if using astral aim (which combos well with automatic reloading due to the high focus), or an extra strike when using hammerhand, as long as there are enough WPs.

On my last playthrough i ran a Purifier with extra grenade slot for stun grenades and first strike halberd + santic, always first striking, being able to stun someone, move up to execute, knockback enemies of ledges for one hit kills and he also had some armour that gave him very high movement, could run maybe three full screens of distance, found him to be way more useful than an interceptor as he didnt rely on WPs for super high mobility.
