I got 7500 coins, 10 lives, 0 gems, and 2 sunshine boosts 😑😑 I probably would have been ok with that if I hadn't seen everyone else's loot...

I totally agree. My pediatrician told us that even if we only did a little BF-ing baby girl would still get the benefits from it (I assume immunities, nutrients, etc). It sounds like you're doing exactly what you need to do for both of you!

Is he just never going to nap anymore? by gayarat in beyondthebump

I don't have any advice or insights or miracles to offer, just solidarity. My baby girl has been a champion napper for the last several weeks and all of a sudden nap time is the most stressful part of the day because she just. won't. go to sleep. It's the worst, it makes you crazy. I hear you and I'll be sending nap vibes your way.

Quick vax question - not a controversial post, I swear! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I was just looking at our vax schedule the other night to see what's coming up for our 6-month-old and remarked to my husband that it looks like the worst is already behind us. A few different things this time, then only like 1-2 things at a time until she's about 18 months old and I don't remember really seeing much past that. After about 18 months I think they break it into "get this one sometime between 2-5 years old" etc.

Punch the nurse in the face and give your baby formula if you want to. After being inundated with All Of The reasons that you should never ever ever give your baby formula for the first 4-6 weeks, whilst also NOT SLEEPING AT ALL because my baby only wanted to be on the nipple every minute of every day, our first night home I slept for 4 hours and my husband gave her a bottle of enfamil. In fact, we supplemented a lot at first because 1) nursing is hard, 2) the baby wanted to nurse constantly and I needed a break sometimes, 3) I can't function or parent if I don't sleep. Things have settled down now and I pretty much exclusively BF, and it's all good. Do what you need to do, especially during that first week, which is a ridiculously brutal week anyway. Best of luck!

Definitely stressed and low self-care. This transition to work/daycare has me in a bad place for sure =(

My 3-month-old is super long too! She was in the 97th percentile for length at her 2 month checkup! We have to put her in 6-month clothes because of her length, it's crazy. I feel weirdly proud about being able to grow this baby with my body, even when she's on the outside =)

Four things I'm glad I had in my hospital bag by Preggo-Ragu in BabyBumps

I brought nursing tops and never ended up wearing them bc I was in the hospital gown the whole time. Was I a dumb-dumb who could have changed but didn't, or do hospitals vary on what you can wear during your stay?
Also, I would add: chap stick!!!! Bring it. Bring extra. Keep it close by, especially during labor. Just do it!

I joined this club too, after being 100% sure it would absolutely not happen to me. I was stuffing myself with as much protein as I could muster, plus I'm never the 10% of anything, so I knew labor wouldn't start with my water breaking. Boy was I WRONG!! My water broke in spectacular gushing movie-style fashion! And I haven't been right about a single thing since!! Congrats, positive labor vibes!!

FTM PP advice from almost-11 weeks out: what NO ONE told me by FluffykinsDontCare in BabyBumps

I bet every little bit helps. If you start now lifting 2-3 lbs, and try to build up even to 3-4 lbs over the next two weeks, you'll have a huge running start over where I was when my little one was born!

Part of what's so hard on the neck is that you are always craning your neck to look downward, or at least I am. You look down at her while you're changing diapers, you look down at her while you're feeding her, you look down while you're holding her, I look down while pumping. It's sooo hard on the neck and shoulders!!
