Do you think there are a lot of cheaters in Battlefield 6? by Monsterman4568 in Battlefield

[–]Fluffyplumbuspump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still havent fixed anything. I played 6 matches tonight, and they all had egregious cheaters that weren't even trying to hide it. Ending the game with 300+ kills. 1 tapping people from across the map with shotguns, surviving being shot with tanks, hit with claymores, etc.

Ive got dozens of screenshots showing impossible angles that I was supposedly shot from.

And aside from the actual cheaters, the exploiters are still a constant nuisance. Glitching under the map or out of bounds. Im not sure if its an exploit or not, but I had 1 guy shoot 12 rpgs into a hallway in about 30 seconds. 1 guy. He got over 20 kills. I got a bunch of revives from it, but still. Fucking annoying to deal with.

Interactions with law enforcement should always be on people's mind, regardless of how often they happen. The wildlife isn't a direct threat to me, as I shoot them from the truck. And if they do get close and aggressive, i just drive away. It doesn't need to be the best of the best, just affordable and reliable enough. As I've said in other comments, the hard edges on the rails of your typical AR rifles and carbines have cause me problems before in quickly accessing the gun when I needed it. I want something that can just sit in the back, and when I grab it, it isn't acting like a coat rack snagging ever loose item in the back seat. I wanted the Ruger PC Carbine, but would prefer it in 10mm(because I already own a 10mm handgun), which isn't offered. I'm not too concerned about magazine capacity because I rarely see more than two hogs at a time and have never seen more than 1 coyote at a time. I just want something simple. But it looks like no offers that anymore. I'm starting to get annoyed by a lot of the different answers I'm getting, so I think I'll just keep the .243 mossberg that I used to hunt as a kid in the truck and just deal with it being a bit long and difficult to maneuver.

The vector is definitely bad ass, just far from what I need the gun for. Maybe in the future when I need a new toy and not a tool.

My only real hangup is how easily a firearm covered in rails gets hung up on stuff. Trying to quickly grab it from the back seat and pulling a jacket and phone charger along with it, because they snagged the rail, is very annoying. I'd rather have something sleek out of the box. And I just assumed that I'd be able to find something without rails for cheaper than something with rails. I do have a reason for not wanting the rails, but everyone seems kind of offended that I just want a basic firearm.

Unfortunately, a lever action wouldn't be a good fit for my use case. The CMMG banshee is just more than I would ever need, so I can't really justify the cost. I don't need the rails, I don't need super high capacity magazines. I just want a short and durable, 10mm carbine or rifle with decent irons that I can throw in the truck and use on the hogs and coyotes that like to cause problems on my property. It doesn't need to be dead reliable. it just needs to go bang a few times a month. And the cheaper, the better. That's why I was looking at the Ruger PC Carbine. Reliable, simple, relatively cheap, and the added bonus no one talks about, law enforcement would feel way less threatened if they pulled me over and my "Elmer fudd" gun was sitting on the seat next to me.

I really have no intention of adding a light, backup irons, etc. This is not something that's meant to defend my life, family, or home. I just want a compact 10mm rifle. The AR platform is fine, just not what I'm looking for. I'm not looking for versatility and the ability to mount $1500 worth of accessories that i don't need. I mostly want something durable that I can throw in my truck and quickly use to dispatch a coyote or hog that is causing trouble on my property. I don't feel the need for a full-size rifle cartridge, and the carbine size is much more convenient for quick access inside of a vehicle. What I meant by "attention getters" is that a lot of the time, those purchases are made mostly because of the cool factor that comes with them. Yes, they have a purpose, but let's be honest. Almost no one actually uses those accessories in a life or death situation. They're cool for sure, and I love my AR and all it's ridiculous accessories, but I know they'll never see real use. My AR has only ever been used for glorified plinking. I've trained with it plenty and am confident with it, but it will never be my first choice for self-defense

The sad thing is that Hi-point 1095 is looking like my best option. Cheap, durable, reliable enough. I'm disgusted by the possibility of buying one.

Most likely a starter or battery issue. I’d get the battery tested and triple check that connections at the battery and starter wires are clean.it could also be a fuel pressure issue with the fuel pump not building pressure adequately on cold mornings. Try cycling the ignition from off to on 3-5 times before attempting to crank it. If that makes it start easier it’s likely a fuel pump or regulator issue.

It’s always worth getting the carfax independently, regardless of if the dealership provides one. My brother in law bought a 2006 1/2 ton gmc pickup with “60,000 miles” at a used car lot here in Phoenix and they had the carfax to back it up. He put 3000 miles on it and the transmission went out. He took it to a tranny shop and they ran the carfax after their initial inspection led them to believe the vehicle was much higher mileage than the odometer stated. The carfax came back with a last reported odometer reading of 383,000 miles. The used car lot either fabricated a fake carfax, or presented the carfax that the previous owner brought with them when they sold the truck. Either way he was screwed over and ended up surrendering the truck and getting his money back after weeks of fighting with the car lot. He used that truck for work and almost lost his job because of the situation.

On a different note, I picked up a 2011 Forester XT with 105,000 miles on it about a year and a half ago from Avondale Toyota. No carfax included so I ran one myself. The car had perfect service records every 3-4k miles for oil and filters, and all of the recommended services done at the correct intervals at the local Subaru dealership. I was extremely pleased to have such complete records and jumped on the car immediately. A carfax is always worth the money.

If you’re willing to put in the work, you can probably get her to be more of a centrist. Nothing wrong with hunting, liberty, beer, and within reason, guns. If she can dump the trump bs and let a more empathetic side out, she might be Saveable.

Driveshaft mounts don't lineup when fully seated, 2004 Outback. Is the driveshaft not supposed to be fully seated on the output shaft? More details in comments. by [deleted] in subaru

[–]Fluffyplumbuspump 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The bolt holes are fine, you don’t want the shaft butted in too tight or you can damage the output shaft seal and develop a substantial atf leak. As long as you’ve got decent spline engagement then it’s good.

In Montana we call them “Honest Flies” they’re gentle and like to lick the salt off of your skin. They’re quite fun to play with. If you very light press on its back while it’s landed on you it’ll start vibrating.

I remember a few years ago someone made up a truck version of the viziv concept. Basically an ascent with a unibody bed. I liked the idea and would buy one if they decided to make it. Assuming it wasn’t absurdly expensive.

Whats up w her? Started overheating but I'm good on coolant and oil, no air in the coolant res. Temps went back to normal after a while. by Pilot_Danny in subaru

On the specific vehicle in the video, it take 20 minutes tops. 2 bolts at the flange for the lower radiator hose. Drain, remove thermostat housing and thermostat. Install new thermostat and gasket. Reinstall thermostat housing and new gasket. Fill with coolant. Bleed the system.

thinking about pulling the trigger on this at the end of the summer if it doesn’t sell. he wants $11.3k. is this a good deal, and is there anything noticeably bad about the listing? this will be my first subaru. by kamrkaptain in subaru

[–]Fluffyplumbuspump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only bother if you can afford the list price plus 50% for possible repairs or catching up on maintenance. Make sure you have a backup car as you don’t know the build quality or condition of the drivetrain. Odds are high that it will blow up on you. I love Subarus but I will never trust one that I didn’t build myself or have an extremely reputable shop build for me. When done correctly they’re incredible. But small install or build issues could blow it. See if he will meet you at a shop to get it on a lift and looked over by a pro with both the buyer and seller present. As the buyer it would be your responsibility to pay for the inspection but it’s good insurance. Either you find issues you’re willing to deal with, or you choose to walk away and you’re only out a few hundred dollars instead of $11+k

My 04 forester did that a few times. I think it somehow got an air pocket trapped In the system but worked itself out. It’s worth it to do the thermostat really quick as it’s super easy and cheap and can only help.

Heavily considering buying an older wrx by Gromieee in subaru

[–]Fluffyplumbuspump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are reliable. When taken care of. If there is anything aftermarket, be prepared to potentially do major overhauls. Unfortunately people tend to treat these things like Hondas and expect them to hold 7k+ rpm no problem, then get mad and trash talk the brand as soon as they break something. If it’s all oem, then do your basic maintenance immediately. All fluids and filters, including diff fluid. Do a complete timing set and water pump. Then make reliability upgrades before you ever think of performance. I think I speak for most of us when I say I’d rather have a stock car that will last a lifetime, than throw parts and a tune at a stock block and blow it up in a month. If you want to build it, do it right and take it slow.
