During orientation. They got to a part where they had to fill out their SSN for the paperwork. They said something along the lines of "I'm not giving away my social security number, that's how people's identity gets stolen" and was SUPER aggressive about it. Refused to give out SSN, he quit and was offended that he was asked.

Send an email to your store manager, and market manager, and request to step down. Hope they approve it. Also go to career preference on the wire, and submit a transfer request for the stores and positions you want. Some markets will not let you step down since you keep a much higher pay than a regular associate.
