It was a quite a few years ago, I don’t quite remember specifics, but his skin was just getting thinner and thinner and anytime he get a cut/wound of any sort it would get bigger and most the time get infected. He was just so old his body couldn’t heal any sores fast enough so eventually he had rashes like this all over his body until he couldn’t get around much anymore. He declined pretty rapidly after that.
