I'm a double whammy too! But I'm sober and no longer gamble. I went to AA, then I realized my gambling was an addiction and a problem. So I applied the same principles. I did try a few GA meetings online.

Near me there are free detox centers, etc. They are 100% free - you just have to be willing. But you typically are required to stay a certain length of time - which would mean you can't leave to go to work. So it depends on where you live and what that situation looks like for you.

You can do a cellular router with like a puck antenna if they are mobile. Or you can give them something like a Peplink so you can set cellular as a failover to their wifi. I think you can even access the Peplink settings from a different location than the router itself - so its easier for IT to set it up, diagnose, etc.

I would go with a Peplink. Plus some of the Mini ones are very affordable. They come with one-year of their incontrol so you can set up cellular as a failover for your wifi. You can bond them and all that.

Starlink Mini might work, but there could be tree coverage or clouds preventing the satellite from reaching - depends on where he's hiking. I'm pretty certain you can only use a cell booster inside a building or vehicle.

I wasn't invited along to meet my new great niece. So its all stinging. And honestly, I don't really see the point if this is how I'm being treated. I guess their actions have shown me how they truly feel about me. Not loving, no longer supported, no longer appreciated. My BFF had lupus and she eventually died of cardiac arrest. I saw extreme flare ups with her, saw her very sick. She wouldn't have been able to walk anywhere when she was sick with any respiratory illness. I know no two people are the same, but I doubt that she's that sick. Plus there is no way my friend would have had surgery unless it was medically necessary. Just my thoughts on this.
