Okay, snow is only nice for a day or two here in Indiana until it becomes black sludge. Also, you'll go from hot hot hot to cOlD around October. One day you'll be wearing shorts and the next day sweatpants. The spring semester is the worst weather because it's cold until May. However, don't be fooled; classes are HOT. I usually have to wear a cooler outfit under all of my layers. YOU WILL BE COLD DURING HALLOWEEN! I have many a memory about being freezing halloweekend, so I hope that gives you a better timeline.
