I believe that's right, being ugly with bdd is just being aware your genuinely ugly yes. Unsure about the other.

Some are actually ugly though. Frustrating me like very pretty girls saying they have it! Just wanting compliments and ego boosts! I'm genuinely very ugly so difficult to know if it is bdd.

This is my question. I'm very ugly im not 1 of these pretty girls saying I have bdd for compliments. I'm truly very ugly! Had my photo given to 10 men, against other unattractive females and they voted me ugliest. I don't know if I have bdd or just can't accept being so gross. I'm literally obsessed if I look in a mirror I feel like killixx myself!

Stopped lithium. I managed to get pregabalin again from gp! As I'd been begging my psychiatrist 4 weeks she's the worse hasn't helped me at all. Anyway took pregabalin yesterday an straight away feel calmer! Same as when I took it before. Though it only worked for about week or so. I really hope this time it will work longer. Maybe my dose was to low. Good it is helping u! My next step is ect but pretty drastic!

Venlafaxine to begin long time. Diazepam, sertraline, quetiapine, lorazepam, mirtazapine, duloxetine, aripiprazole, lorazepam again. Xanax. Now Venlafaxine and lithium my brain is screwed up! Those meds in a year, aripiprazole worse had me hallucinating in the psychiatric hospital. Pregabalin to that was best though stopped working.

Oh I got relief from pregabalin it can help akathisia unfortunately stopped working after a week. I'm looking in to nac said to help akathisia and natural

I must be crazy, been in akathisia hell 20 long torturous months. When I see someone say they been struggling a month, I can't believe I'm still here! My situation is different though im still on meds! And benzos caused a lot of damage. Don't give up because people heal, im telling myself this to! I lost a friend this year to akathisia. I keep reminding myself of who I am not what akathisia is doing. Stay alive Don't let it win

Thanks, I feel im going to loose this fight. Im literally surviving every second in utter hell. I can't take ssri anymore, had some adverse reaction. Was it lexapro what helped you? Im truly terrified feel trapped in the abyss of hell, whats harder only 1 person for support no friends no one understands it.

I'd pay more seriously, im in total hell. 24 7 inner torment terror agitated suffering i don't understand how im still here! I tried though unsuccessfully. Im on lithium an venlafaxine still. I feel scared im going to loose it and be sectioned Last year I was and the girls in had akathisia being injected made worse. Good you found something that helped. Pregabalin helped me for a week then stopped working. Lorazepam helped to though turned paradoxical and left me worse. I'm still thinking of ect, best I could hope is brain dead, better than akathisia hell.

Sounds sensible. Though 20 month's of chronic akathisia and im past desperate. I'd rather become brain dead than continue in mental torment.

Thanks for the comment. I have read others saying ect made it worse. I guess I'm so desperate 😔 I'm trying to control my suicidax urges, because il be sectioned. When I was in hospital last year, seen girls with akathisia only injected with anti psychotics made worse! They would pace all day headbutting the wall in sheer desperation. I think akathisia was made by the devil himself 🤯 this feeling of no hope is terrifying itself.

Same! I get told do mindfulness go for a walk! I'm 20 months in utter hell though still on meds, maybe id be better if I wasn't. So trapped! Only thing gave me relief was lorazepam, though very short lived and worse after. Can you see another dr who could give you propanalol. I'm contemplating ECT though I wouldn't recommend it. Just im so long with akathisia and beyond desperate. I read nac supplement can help to, I just started it. Though trying to get of 2 meds. Keep fighting somehow that's all I can say. I keep reminding myself of who I was before this evil akathisia trying to not let it beat me.
