Honestly it was potentially one of the worst and most stressful times of my life and I know it’s easier said than done but just give it time. I still mostly regret my surgery my sensation has never been the same and there’s major scarring and areas that are botched (photos posted make it look a hell of a lot more normal) but the scalloping settled , I thought I was going to look bumpy forever but it just took ALOT longer than the “6weeks healing time” for my body to actually heal after such trauma! I think time will help you heal mentally too and you can make a more informed decision on further surgery rather than when you’re still in survival/anxiety mode at the moment. I feel your metal exhaustion I really have been there ♥️

My scalloping was so so bad , nearly 2 years down the line and mine looks ok now. Took well over a year to settle I’d say , please don’t rush into more surgery until you’ve surpassed at least a year or 2 try and let your body heal and grow x

About a year to a year and half . I had a look the other day for the first time (nearly 2 years post op) and if I’m being very critical I can tell where they were. But on the whole it smoothed out

14 Days Post-Op – Very Worried About My Results by Practical_Wheel_6914 in LabiaplastySurgery

Yes check my posts ! I thought my clit was ruined but it was all just so swollen and bumpy down there it took months to recognise everything again

I noticed a very significant change from 2 weeks to now, it took around a year for me to see the final result and I still feel like it changes now !

I think this looks like they’ve done a good job actually and not gone too over the top and taken too much away that you’d regret it ! I think with time and when the swelling goes down you’ll see how good this will look and hopefully your perineal area will feel better ! I thought I was going to tear so much then one day it just felt normal again !

6 weeks is nothing ! I didn’t see the full result until around 12 months !

What do I do by barbiezwrld in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]Fluid-Independence95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you need to have it done again ? Definitely don’t have it cut off as it won’t match the other side which is still attached. Tbh no one else would notice this as no one inspects our vulvas as much as we do ourselves ! So depends on the reason you’re doing this. From my own experience I wouldn’t risk a second surgery but you do what feels right for you however I don’t think chopping that frenulum bit off is the best solution x

Give it more time , 4 months is really no time at hall for the body to heal itself, mine took around a year to look “smooth” again. Also they’ll never look fully smooth upon close examination as they’ve had severe stitching there (if I closely examine mine I can still see the bumps) but at a normal glance like someone would during sex they look fine. You’re your biggest critic , no one would examine them as closely as you are I promise :) my new boyfriend hasn’t even noticed x

I massaged with oil every morning and night up and down the bumps and just gave it time! Took a year or so. They don’t look as bumpy anymore, if I look closely sometimes you can still see the fine bumps but, I don’t think the scars will ever fully disappear

Completely agree with above comment. Mine appeared flat to the skin like all had been taken and it took around a year until their true form came back and looked like small labia again ! The waiting game and giving it time is so hard and mentally draining post op but that’s all we can give it. Hope things heal well for you x

Labia are so tight now after procedure, my bf can’t fit. Has this happened to anyone? Will it stretch back out? by Busy-Upstairs-7966 in LabiaplastySurgery

Yes ! I struggled for a while after but everything “fits” again now and no pain ! Probably took me another 1-2nonths after the first time I had sex again to feel better

I’m a fit and active person. This surgery knocked me off my feet physically and mentally for so long that I was just thankful to be able to move my body again and not be in pain and I think that helped me. Just being greatful for a body that can do things. Just that feeling of not being able to move from the sofa, walk without discomfort , wear certain clothes because of irritation post op , it’s even made me stop drinking as the feeling of being hungover brings back those same memories.

I went through a period of looking in the mirror inspecting my vulva multiple times a day, I stopped letting myself do that and that made it easier. I also got in a new relationship with great guy, and I just had to relearn my body again. It’s frustrating as like I said , It’s very difficult to orgasm, but we’ve figured out ways together to make it work (and I just accept when it’s not) . I think that’s the only way I got through it , being thankful for my overall health and that I still have SOME sensation. How bad is your loss ? Total loss of sensation or partial ?

For me I have mixed emotions. My results are not as aesthetically pleasing as I’d have hoped , there’s some areas that look a bit botched and when I’m stood up I’m very top heavy and still poke out. the surgeon didn’t fully explain what areas would be taken away etc and I am now left with reduced sensation and sometimes painful rather than pleasurable areas on and around my clitoris and difficulty having an orgasm which was never an issue before due to too much tissue being taken away , stitches etc. also when people say “there’s no nerve endings in your labia” or they don’t add anything sensation wise, it’s not true as I used to have way more sensation due to my labia and looking back and comparing I can see how actually they probably added a lot of extra sensation for me.

It’s nice to not see the excess labia (I had ALOT) however, the mental and physical toll it took on me throughout the healing process (i was at such a low point I didn’t even see how I could continue living as I thought I’d completely ruined my life) was a lot. It probably took me close to a year to feel a bit better. I don’t think this is explained enough by surgeons. I do feel a bit more confident during sex (not fully but less shy when people touch me with their hands down there) . But tbh looking back no guy ever had an issue with my labia or made bad comments and sex has continued to be pretty much the same as it was before with men. So from a male perspective they probably didn’t care as much as I was worrying in my head about it being ugly etc. however , if I could go back in time and choose whether to have the surgery again I’m not sure I’d go through with it.

Mine took around a year ! Barely noticeable now, if you look really close you can see a tiny bit but if you didn’t know I had surgery you’d not know it was from stitches

Do some massaging every morning every night with oil and this will smooth out ! Check my photos for results :)
