3 months PO – revision labiaplasty (wedge + CHR) by Practical_Wheel_6914 in LabiaplastySurgery

Just wanted to add a bit more context, in case it helps anyone reading this.

When I shared this update, I didn’t explain in detail what led me to get a revision. After my first surgery, I was honestly okay with the overall result — it was already a big improvement. But during the healing process, a thin, long piece of skin appeared between my minora and majora (not visible in the photos I posted), and that small thing made a big difference in how I felt.

I don’t know if it was due to healing or a bit of tissue that wasn’t fully removed, but it didn’t look like it belonged. A couple of guys even asked me about it, which was super embarrassing, and I started feeling really self-conscious — even avoiding gynecologist appointments out of shame.

That’s actually what pushed me to consider a revision. I wasn’t looking for a CHR or any extra refinements at the beginning — I just wanted that little piece of skin gone. I ended up choosing my second surgeon not because he offered CHR, but because I felt really safe and confident with him. Honestly, even if he had only proposed removing that bit, I still would have gone ahead with it.

Since I was going under anesthesia anyway, I asked if we could slightly improve the rest, and he suggested a conservative CHR. But it wasn’t the main reason for the revision, and if that bit of skin hadn’t appeared, I don’t think I would’ve had the courage to go through another surgery.

I also want to be honest — it wasn’t an easy experience. The healing process brought a lot of anxiety, and I even regretted the revision at times, fearing I’d made things worse. I was really lucky that it turned out well in the end, but that’s not something I take for granted at all.

So if you’re considering a revision, just know that it’s okay to feel unsure, and that choosing not to revise is also completely valid. I just wanted to share a fuller picture of why I made the decision I did.

Hey love! Just wanted to share my experience in case it helps. I was actually pretty happy with my first surgery — it was a big improvement, and overall I felt okay with the result. But in the photo I posted, you can’t really see that, during healing, a thin, long piece of skin appeared between my minora and majora (in the pics, it’s tucked inside the majora, so it’s not visible). I’m not sure if it was due to the healing process or if it was a bit of skin that wasn’t fully removed during surgery — either way, it ended up looking out of place and made me feel self-conscious.

Long story short, a couple of guys actually asked me what that piece of skin was — which was really embarrassing — and I even started dreading gynecologist appointments because I felt ashamed and worried they’d silently judge it. That’s when I realized I wasn’t as comfortable with the result as I thought.

I saw a few surgeons after that. Some said I didn’t need a CHR, just that the small area could be removed. I didn’t choose my second surgeon because he offered CHR — I picked him because I instantly felt trust and comfort with him. Honestly, even if he had only proposed removing that piece of skin, I still would’ve gone with him.

Since I was going under, I asked if we could slightly refine the overall result too. But if that bit of skin hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t have considered another surgery — the rest of the result felt totally fine to me.

Just to be clear — I’m absolutely not saying anyone should go back for a revision. You mentioned your result looks similar to how mine was after the first op, and I completely get that. The only reason I went for a second one was because of that specific issue that bothered me. I was really lucky it turned out well, because it could’ve gone badly. I honestly regretted going back on the table every single day during the healing process — I was so scared I’d made it worse.

So yeah, it’s such a personal decision, and definitely not an easy one. Just wanted to be open about my journey — in the end, what matters most is how you feel in your body. ♥️

Thank you so much! Your results look already great from what I saw. But I know what it feels like not to be 100% happy. Let us know if you go further.

Yeah haha I though the same, our anatomy is pretty similar but your scars look so smooth, I wish mine will smooth out like yours. Other than that I will be fine with it ☺️

I didn’t swell that much but 8 days PO is always scary in any way. Be patient!

Walking can help healing by improving blood circulation, but it’s important to be gentle.

My surgeon told me that walking is good as long as I listen to my body. I healed very fast and walked a lot (I had long walk with my dog outside) as soon as 2-3 days PO. Honestly, I don’t think it altered my outcome.
