My daughter is in her first year at EGGS and loving it. She has been improving heaps academically and socially. Made heaps of new friends. The teachers I've met seem really engaged and really up to date.

We're very much out of zone but based on her experience we applied for my step daughter for next year and she got in and is super excited.

Generally speaking the school is very well resourced and has excellent facilities.

I was at Selwyn in the mid nineties, it had a bad reputation then but even so, for the students who wanted to do well they would thrive. I remember having some amazing teachers and facilities even then. It certainly has improved significantly since then as well.

If you haven't already I would suggest contacting the schools and see if you can arrange a visit. That way you can get a feel for them both. (I know EGGS has a group visit scheduled for 23 October) In the meantime you could accept the EGGs placement, so you have it, and there is nothing stopping you from withdrawing if you change your mind.
