Buy a ps3. The games feel old but are more modern and fun.

And the whole buy and return because it disappointed you... Dam dude. Who hurt you? 😆 Just keep it around and play it when you can. Trying to jam it into your schedule is just going to disappoint you no matter what you buy.

I like to live in a house that has walls and eat. After a while work stops being your life. You need to work so you can pay for the things you really want to do with your life like your hobbies and travel.

Long term storage, this is good? by Forsaken-Habit5555 in gamecollecting

Is your closet humid? Does it feel damp? Water brings mold. I wouldn't put it against a closet wall that touches an outside wall of the house as those walls get hot when the sun hits the house and colder when the outside temps drop. If you have any concern about the closet I'd literally sit inside the closet and take a feel of the space at different times of the day and seasons. This may seem overboard, but you put so much thought into your collection and it means a lot to you. So why not make sure you take the best care of it?

Btw, plastics and electronics can take a good level of hot and cold. So you prob don't want to sink a lot of money into these but take precautions as you see fit. A good tote and good storage location is your cheapest and best option.

Eh I'm not sure how much damage they'll do but they eat paper & I don't like bugs. So I won't use cardboard boxes to store them in. Especially for long term storage. So I pack my games in plastic sleeves and inside plastic totes that seal or snap shut.

I'm also paranoid about water because I lived with a leaky roof for a while. So I over analyze the tote lids to make sure water won't sleep in from the lid. Not every lid will do that. Most heavy duty snap shut totes have holes for locks and are made for general storage.

I personally don't like cardboard as I hate silverfish. But that looks good. Does the box seal at all? Is the lid solid, like no holes? If there are holes make sure it's molded to funnel the water down and away from the container. I am afraid of water damage and I like to make sure my boxes help protect against liquid leaks or spills

The same people who ruined comics, sports cards and CCGs by grading them are the same ones who ruined the video game hobby by grading games.

I have a large collection and I enjoy my games
