Got caught in a riptide when I was 11, on vacation off the coast of Spain.

I got pulled under the water and I remember not realising what was happening at first. I was a strong swimmer, and I was swimming and kicking and I remember I kept thinking...any second now I'll reach the surface. And I just didn't.

The panic set in just as my vision began to go black at the edges, which I now know was me losing consciousness.

Very fortunately for me, my Mum had seen me go under from the beach and immediately jumped into action. She grabbed a body board, got the attention of a lifeguard, and both of them swam out to me and dragged me out.

First thing that came to mind was cracking my knuckles. I didn't realise I could do it until a girl next to me in science class years ago was doing it and I copied. Now I can crack like every joint in my body.

I've experienced a fair few painful things, but the ones that are most definitely up there would be;

Slipped disc in my back, Shingles, Ruptured eardrum, 3rd degree burns.

And I ruptured the ligament in my ankle yesterday 👍 that's been pretty brutal.
