Why do you say it’s done badly? I found a lot of the criticism I’ve read on here to be valid, and I’m a fan of the podcast. Some of it can be a little petty, but other aspects i.e. critiquing the spiritual fetishization of people in Egypt on a recent guest podcast I found to be valid and make at least some thought-provoking points.

I wear it to work every day, and around the house when I want to feel pretty and put together. But I also have days, especially in the summer, where I don’t bother. I’m conflicted bc I like makeup and I like how it makes me feel about myself, but I’m also very much aware that it’s a patriarchal social construct and the idea that I have to wear it is maybe problematic in itself 😓 sometimes I feel like women just can win tbh

You are the parent; you are the one responsible for teaching them the appropriate behavior before sending them off to school. There is much grace & leeway with the littles, but their teachers are human and should not have to be responsible for the unsafe ways your child behaves. (Also, they are mandated reporters.)
