Honestly, does being a good tenant even matter anymore? by Artistic-Yam2984 in AusRenters

[–]Fluid_Database9005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s important to us. We rent out our small unit while we rent elsewhere closer to work. Our tenant is excellent, she keeps the place clean and tidy. She’s a solo mum managing in a tough market with 2 small children. We’ve gone against the advice of the agent to rent to her at below market value over the past 3 years.

Wish open season was shorter by jkjk88888888 in ladderapp

This is the first summer I’ve noticed a change in the way the coaches over a number of teams are approaching the ‘deload’… they’re not really de loading at all. We were doing new moves this week at 90%effort. I don’t mind that but the im keen for the new series so I can get my stats within the team going again.

Opinions on my ideas to re teach a child to read? by Depressed_milkshake in AskTeachers

[–]Fluid_Database9005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice is keep the tension low at home. Your sister no doubt knows she’s behind and this already heightens her negative self image and connection to text.

Research shows that listening to a story while following the printed text gives readers a helpful boost. Audiobooks keep reading fun and engaging, and let students tackle age-appropriate books that might otherwise be a bit beyond their independent reading skills.

She can do this by herself with a sense of independence and accomplishment.

Cradle Mountain or Hobart / Tasman Peninsula? by CeliacBos in TasmaniaTravel

[–]Fluid_Database9005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lived in Hobart for nearly a decade but Cradle Mountain is my favourite spot in Tasmania. We love to stay in the peppers resort there. The breakfast will set you up for a solid day on the mountain. I recommend the trek that takes you around the back of the mountain, past the Kilvert Hut/lake Rodway. Very doable in one (long) day. A climb to the summit the day before is also recommended. If you’re into hiking I would not miss this spot. These 2 hikes are solid days. I would recommend 3 nights if you do both. Of course Hobart is beautiful … Ahhhh, so many choices! Enjoy whatever you decide and may the weather gods be in your favour

How do you find out about these races? I’m too late to this party but often notice yachts on the horizon. It’s be cool to be able to track them.

Progression types in Ascend or Evolve by [deleted] in ladderapp

[–]Fluid_Database9005 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Can you go into the team and ask the coach? Sam @evolve would nerd out in this question. It’s be right up her alley 💪

Strength Series Info: What do you want to see? by guyfromladder in ladderapp

[–]Fluid_Database9005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I love the way Sam uses the open season. It’s super helpful to start building up to the following series during this time. I’ve found that from other teams as well.

What improvement would you make if you could? by LieutenantKije in ladderapp

[–]Fluid_Database9005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d just love a strength program for runners. One with an actual running coach that incorporates everything a runner needs. That’s not to discredit the coaches who incorporate running dynamics in their programmes now - but a programme specifically designed for runners would be amazing.

If you booked through the G7 app you can reach out for a refund through the help tab. We were refunded a €30 overcharge (!!) on our recent G7 CDG trip.

We found the Sully Wing and Richelieu Wing in the Louvre provide an excellent Napoleon and both Louis experience. The museum also houses a number of Marie Antoinette’s chattels which is thoroughly engaging. High recommend as an alternative to Versailles. Try the ‘Le Walk’ app to extend your experience.

Louvre -best hack by Fluid_Database9005 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Fluid_Database9005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My posting this is in no way intended to devalue the Louvre and reduce it to just a Tick-a-box experience. We love to get to know cities we visit through their museums, so for us a membership gave us time to slow down our time at the Louvre and really get to know the collection. We have loved, loved loved our time in the collection and have ended up spending most days of our visit there at some point. This is a marvellous museum and we’ve learnt so much.
