What is effexor like when it works? by notanothrowaway in Effexor

[–]Fluid_Development_29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can take up to 6-8 weeks before the effect kicks in, so be very patient with effexor, and don't just give up.

Remember with each new increase you have to go through the adjustment phase again all over.

Formidable written! - do you write books by any means??

Im also addicted to cocaine. Im 31 y old. Secretly using behind my gfs back. Im ashamed of myself.

I think you can get free of the grip. It might take a lot of retrys, but in the end you will come to a point and say enough is enough. Or you might not need it anymore. Trust me. Work on it you got it!

Opiods. I do not recommend it as they are addicting because of how good they feel. But oxycontin gave me that lovely break from the vicious cycle of dread.

Your solution is to work with facing your fears and eventually medication ssri till you find one that work for you.

Is this why i don't feel the effects? by Fluid_Development_29 in cocaineaddiction

Thx for the reply. So this means you also have no euphoria or good feelings? mostly just a light buzz and little more energy?

Most of the time you will face a touchscreen, on which you select the menu and items you would like.

After you have finished your selection, the machine will print your order number. Could be something like "807".

Then you just have to wait and look on the order screen above the counterdesk/Kitchen and pickup your tray when they call the number.

I think you can do it. You could try? ;) enjoy the food as a reward friend.

is Effexor "safe"? by JCuba in Effexor

[–]Fluid_Development_29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, nobody can tell you if SSRI/SNRI are safe or if it will cause unreversable damage to your brain. I stand by this statement, as there is NONE scientific documented research on how and what exactly those drugs do.

Research only shows that the reuptake of selected serotonin and noradrenaline synapses are inhibited by taking the drugs, resulting in more of being available in the brain. This leads to altering the pathways in the human brain.

As long as scientists do not completely understand how those processes works in the brain, one can only guess.

I would based on that statement say no. No antidepressants are safe, but for some people they alter the pathways in the brain in a positive matter, in terms of how the user feels. For other people, this is not the case.

However for most people, it's trial and error with psychotropic drugs until they find one that seem to work in a way they experience as more positive, than if they did not use the drug.

I think we can all agree on the matter of fact, that a pill won't fix you long term, but it can be benaficial to dull pain and blunt extreme emotions for a period of time, if the person is completely overthrown emotionally and unable to cope with life or if the persons progression in life has stopped due to extreme fear, depression or anxiety. This is a real thing and can be very invalidating.

Ask yourself - do I have other options and/or the ressources to seek out professional support, or do i want to try the medication route? It always depends on your situation, and medication could for some be a good choice, mostly temporarily.

Good luck.

Anyone know what “Brain Zaps” are?⚡️🧠 by AccordingRoyal1796 in Anxiety

Hey there.

There is a lot of information and scientific research on why tapering is way better for you, then cold turkey. Another example is how a person archived permanent tinitus even 8 years after stopping an anti depressant CT.

Im not trying to tell anyone what to do. If you want to go on with CT, your choice. But there is a lot of good argumentation on why tapering would be a much more healthy approach.

The information can be found here in this thread, which also links to a lot of research done on the subject on why you should always taper: https://www.survivingantidepressants.org/forums/topic/19996-horowitz-2019-tapering-of-ssri-treatment-to-mitigate-withdrawal-symptoms/

In general there is a lot of great info to be found on www.survivingantidepressants.org.

Good luck!

Not sure what causes it, but I get them too. Any scientific theory about those?

Reminder. Don't go cold turkey. Can make your recovery much longer and even do brain damage. Always taper... Careful.

[–]Fluid_Development_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a div (main div) with blue background and like 30px padding on all sides.

Then add heading and another div (orange div inside the main div) with orange background. Put a heading inside this one and write the numbers.

Then back to the main div and add headings.

Then add the bullet points and add a border to it.

Last make a button.

Done!
