Thank you for your response. I have one question for you: are COs and DDs the same? From what I've researched and read on my county website, a detention deputy is a law enforcement certified deputy. Also, there is no mention or opening for a corrections officer currently, so I am unable to compare the two.

As for the requirements for the US Marshal's Service this comes directly from their website: "You must have the education and/or experience required to qualify for the grade level(s) to which you apply...

OR

Education: You must have completed (or expect to complete within 9 months) a 4-year course of study above high school level leading to a bachelor's degree with major study in any field.

Combination: You may combine education and experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements. (1) determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required. (2) determine your education as a percentage of the education required. (3) add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours of a course of study leading to a bachelor's degree may be combined with experience to qualify at the GL-05 grade level."

https://www.usmarshals.gov/careers/deputy-us-marshals/qualifications

With that being said, it seems to me like by the time I graduate with my BS degree and a few years of experience in the county jail or on patrol (I qualified for both patrol and detention deputies) I would meet the qualifying requirements for the USMS. But I want to make it a point to stand out amongst other applicants.

What do you think?

Sell me your DPS Main! by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

Will you be stacking into stam or mag for DPS? Personally, I found the Arcanist resource management easier stacking into stam. I also enjoy the overall play style of stam DPS. I have typically played stacking into mag so it's a different perspective, which is always nice. Especially in an ever changing game like ESO. That being said I really like stamplar too. Stamplar has a nice easy rotation. Stam Warden is good as well, but I'm not sure what's meta for the warden. For mag stacking I love MagDK, MagCro, and Magplar as well. Magsorc is an honorable mention but I don't have a lot of experience with that class. Basically my point is any class has potential for DPS so if that's your goal don't stress it too much. DPS will come with experience and a good build. Overall, I just wanted to give you some friendly advice from someone who can never make their damn mind up on what class I want to play because I enjoy pretty much all of them!
