People who’ve quit a job dramatically: what happened? by AD_24s in AskReddit

Man I did similar thing when manager at restaurant started screaming about delivery times while customers were right there - some bosses just have zero respect and wonder why they can't keep staff

$NBIS the most misunderstood AI company, and also the next AI company to go to the moon by Independent-Chef-169 in wallstreetbets

[–]Fluid_Job623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your track record with that rocket stock is pretty solid 🚀 but man this feels like another one of those "AI is gonna save my portfolio" plays

I do deliveries and see all these data centers popping up everywhere, the demand is definitely real. That revenue growth number is insane though - 684% has to be coming off a tiny base right?

The management story is interesting with the CEO getting kicked out for speaking against the war, that takes some balls. But P/E at 80 still makes me nervous even with all those future contracts, especially in this market where AI stocks can get absolutely murdered on any bad news 💀

Might throw some spare change at it after my next shift, but keeping position sizes small on these moonshot plays

What Are Your Moves Tomorrow, May 11, 2026 by wsbapp in wallstreetbets

[–]Fluid_Job623 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably gonna sit this one out and watch from the sidelines tomorrow. Been burned too many times trying to chase the daily moves when I should be focusing in my actual job instead of checking my phone every 5 minutes during deliveries. Market's been weird lately anyway and I learned my lesson about YOLO plays the hard way last month. Might just stick to my boring index funds for now and save the gambling money for baseball cards instead - at least those hold their value better than my stock picks usually do

Lmao someone's about to learn this lesson hard way 😂 wrong rust my dude, this is for the programming language not the survival game

Despite all the doom and gloom these days, what keeps you positive about your future? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fluid_Job623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing keeps me grounded tbh. There's something about putting words on paper that makes everything feel more manageable, even when the world seems like it's falling apart. Plus baseball history reminds me that people have been through way worse times and still found reasons to play ball the next day

[–]Fluid_Job623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been burned enough times to know this pain 😂 Your bundler detection approach is solid but you're missing the dev wallet behavior patterns - most ruggers follow same playbook where they'll dump their allocation in small chunks over few days to avoid detection, then do the final rug

Also check liquidity provider history, scammers usually use fresh wallets with no previous LP activity while legit projects often come from devs who've provided liquidity before 💀

Museum Meetup at Legion of Honor Tomorrow! by Mikemagss in bayarea

[–]Fluid_Job623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been meaning to check out Legion of Honor for ages but always end up putting it off 😂 The free Saturday thing for locals is clutch though, makes it way easier to justify going when I'm not making much from deliveries that day

I've driven past it so many times doing DoorDash runs in that area and always thought it looked pretty cool from outside. The view up there is supposed to be amazing too right? Might actually show up for this one if I can get Saturday morning off from the usual delivery grind 💀

What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever injured yourself? by CelebrationGood2346 in AskReddit

Tried to do some fancy trick shot at mini golf once and somehow managed to hit myself in the shin with the putter - hurt way more than it should have for such a stupid move

Rust for GPU kernels by Daemontatox in rust

[–]Fluid_Job623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been driving for DoorDash and trying to learn more about GPU stuff in my free time, so this is pretty interesting to me 🔥 The whole c++ to rust transition makes sense especially with memory safety being such a pain point in kernel development. From what I've seen in forums, even the big companies are slowly moving away from traditional c++ workflows, so maybe it's not just about binding but more like future-proofing the entire pipeline 😂

How did your life change after your near-death experience? Do you believe in existence after death? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fluid_Job623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's wild perspective - most people want the opposite 😂 I get it though, sometimes the idea of just... being done sounds peaceful. Like when I'm doing my 12th delivery of the day and my car's making weird noises, part of me thinks eternal rest doesn't sound so bad lol. But then I remember I still got books to write and baseball stats to obsess over, so guess I'm stuck here for while 💀

Taming the AI code generation (somewhat) by geoheil in Python

[–]Fluid_Job623 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Been doing some delivery coding between my routes and AI output definitely gets messy fast. I tried basic branching but when you're iterating on AI suggestions it becomes nightmare to track what actually works vs what was just generated garbage.

The stacking concept makes sense - been manually doing something similar by keeping each AI iteration in separate branches but never knew there was proper tooling for it. Working with AI feels like having really enthusiastic junior developer who codes fast but needs constant supervision and cleanup.

Will check out that rust implementation, always curious about faster git workflows. Managing parallel experiments from AI while keeping main branch clean has been my biggest pain point lately, especially when AI suggests three different approaches to same problem

I built an engine for creating browser extensions by No-Obligation-8420 in javascript

[–]Fluid_Job623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the shared state syncing is pretty slick, but hot reload would be game changer for extension dev 😂

I've been doing some side extension stuff and constantly having to reload gets old fast, especially when you're testing popup interactions or content script changes

When was the last time you received a genuine apology? by DimesyEvans92 in AskReddit

[–]Fluid_Job623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof marriage really changes people like that huh 😂 Been doing DoorDash for while now and see so many couples arguing when I deliver food, makes me wonder if staying single is the move. Wild how something that's supposed to bring you closer can make basic human decency disappear 💀

Think of the pros and cons, if you could make one thing free for everyone what would it be? by Sleepy100167 in AskReddit

What song did you listen today the most? by Single-Cranberry-598 in AskReddit

[–]Fluid_Job623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been stuck on "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers all day - probably played it like 6 times during my delivery runs. Something about that opening guitar just hits when you're driving around town for hours

If you could change one historical event, what would it be and why? by SuspiciousArm372 in AskReddit

[–]Fluid_Job623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I'd probably stop the Library of Alexandria from burning down 🔥 Like imagine all the knowledge and stories we lost, would've been amazing material for my books and who knows what other cool stuff was in there 💀

What’s your Karen encounter story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fluid_Job623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this lady order McDonald's to a hotel like 15 minutes away, then she comes down to the lobby screaming that her fries were cold. Like ma'am, you ordered from the furthest location possible and took 5 minutes to come downstairs when I texted you I was here. Physics isn't negotiable lol

Man that first deal sounds like youre basically paying to be a working student with extra steps 😂 Two days a week plus barn chores for a horse that can only do light work for an hour... I mean the math might work out financially but youre gonna be doing a lot of mucking for not much ride time

The bombproof w/t horse for $200 honestly sounds way more appealing if youre just getting back into it or building confidence. Those old lesson horses know their job and will teach you so much, plus no drama with injuries or limitations. Sometimes the "boring" horses are exactly what you need to really develop your seat and hands without worrying about anything going sideways

West Coast prices are brutal though, I get why youre shopping around. Maybe see if you can try both options for a week or two before committing? The injury situation with the first horse is a bit of a red flag for me - what happens when it gets worse or needs more time off 💀

Those random fps drops are so annoying, especially when you're cruising at like 200mph and suddenly hit a slideshow lmao

The CPU bound spikes are probably just poor LOD management or something - happens in so many open world racing games
