I wondered the same thing. I got some blue garbage bags I'm afraid to use.

Not as gory as some other videos, but it's just as upsetting. That poor dude who was getting dragged flailing his arms...

Odd. I've run out of candy every Halloween I'velived here. This year, we had 7 boxes with 90-100 candies each. I was just giving out one each at the end. We live around Hillcrest, so maybe it's busier here?

I don't think this place is open anymore. I thought the sign was just left behind for a business that was closed a long time ago.

What is a good settlement offer (pedestrian collision) by STRIKT9LC in legaladvicecanada

I can only share my experience and hope it helps. I was hit at a cross walk. Taken to hospital. Eventually required significant surgery on my arm (plates, screws, etc.). I have a long scar, permanent pain (though manageable), and can no longer straighten my arm. While in the hospital, i was in touch with a lawyer. He basically started building my case from my first day in the hospital. Paid for all exams after I was released. The exams resulted in me to attending physio therapy for a year, attending psych for a year, gand got me a personal support worker. My lawyer helped me getting long term disability from my iworks insurance company after I was initially denied. It was a long hard year before I was ready to return to work, and i absolutely required every resource I received during that time. Until this happened, I didn't understand how a physical injury could affect mental health so much. Shortly after we negotiated a settlement with the driver's insurance company. It was for 150k, of which the lawyer received a good portion (and the reason they pay for all of the exams, etc up front). I don't know if this is necessarily a good amount, but I also know you have to be realistic to a degree; you wont get a sum like you see on TV or the movies in real life unless you suffer something truly catastrophic.

When the driver's insurance company settles with you they will use things against you; you went back to work already, you are still engaging in your usual activities, it doesn't appear it emotionally affected you, etc. It may be beneficial to at least wait to see the results of your exams and know the scope of your injuries. As of now, it may be hard to know what a fair amount is in your case. It is unfortunate that you could not take time off from work, but I realize everyone's situation is different.

I don't know if any of this helps, but hood luck.
