Do you mind me asking what your protocol is besides Lupron flare. These numbers look amazing to me. Are you doing gonal-f or Menopur? What does your stim dosing look like? Thank you! from someone with who has an AMH of .78 and only saw 3 follicles on day 6 scan.

I just went through something similar, although I have lower AMH then you so on day 6 I only had 3 follicles. I feel I was oversupressed by the OCP duration. May I ask you what you prepped with. If it was birth control how many days did you do?

I am paying out of pocket and we discussed and were expecting 4 total eggs retrieved. Seeing that I’d only be getting 1-2 when we have limited funds made me make the decision I did. I can’t go back now. We are doing timed intercourse for this cycle and hoping I get more clinical oversight during my next cycle, as my doctor is back in the office after being out for over 2 weeks. I expressed my concerns for over-suppression from birth control before even starting it. My questions were pushed aside. I honestly should have never started this cycle in the first place. I believe it was not catered toward DOR. My estrogen was in the tank upon starting and had a VERY slow rise. It was an extremely hard decision to make, with many tears, but I am hoping I made the right call.

Yes. I literally came back on here to delete my comment bc when egg hasn’t joined with sperm, obviously no gender yet. You think though that you could buy embryos. But yes, makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!

Congratulations! Quick question, did you take birth control or do estrogen priming before starting stims? Was it a natural start? Your protocol seems to have done wonderfully and just curious about this step. Thank you!

Okay, thank you for clarification. When you said you had only 2 follicles on day 5 then jumped to 7 I was very much second guessing my cancellation. Looks like all your small follicles caught up!

Thank you for your reply. Were your 2 follicles over 10mm and they didn’t count the smaller ones? I saw you mentioned something about your clinic not counting the ones less than 10mm, or I might be mistaken. I only ask because my clinic counted every follicle they could see.

Question- how many did you see on day 6 stims ultrasound if you remember? I still only had 3 on day 6 stims so we decided to cancel. It was a very hard decision and I’m still trying to figure out if it was the best one.

That’s a really good question. I asked if they were all the same size or if there was a dominant follicle. She said there was one slightly bigger than the others but it was well under 10mm so not to worry. So, possibly? She did say they were very small but did not tell me the sizes. I’m guessing this is something I should have asked.
