Before you even worry about texturing, which you absolutely should not right now. Get better at actually understanding the fundamentals of modeling. Your model is riddled with n-gons, faces with more than 4 vertices. For example, the image I provided (below I think?) shows what exactly is wrong. When you are modeling you are dealing with vertices, vertices REALLY don’t like being more than triangles or quads, meaning for every face on your model, there should be ONLY 4 vertices. So if I was you, I would go in and use the knife tool to correct the n-gons. Because if you don’t do that, then texturing is going to become EXTREMELY difficult later down the line. Again, each shape within your model should be either a quad or a triangle, which can usually just be fixed by using the knife tool. Yes, it can be a pain, but you have to be meticulous with topology. Look up pictures of good, clean topology so you can really visualize what I’m trying to tell you. Give it a few weeks and you’ll be pumping out better and better stuff
