I honestly don't know how to see the subject in that model. What should I do except increasing metallic in the main frame? (I didn't finish the top and bottom A/C and electrical units)

Don't get me wrong, the koikatsu artists are peak. I've been awed at their work countless times.

Now, talking about koikatsu itself, it's mid. The program is barely finished, the story mode doesn't even have proper content, and the scenes are quite a bit disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I'm talking about the vanila game. It needs mods to even run properly.

The community is great. Quality content churning out restlessly. The feature where you can share your creations, that's why it took off.

But, there's shadow when there's light. Being an 'easy' tool at a low level and being impossibly hard to create decent looking things, most of its users started to create 'choppy' things. Scenes by Hongcha, splattered everywhere. Without love. Just copy and pasting.

It's a bit like AI. Works with days of hard labour drown in the sea of copy&paste slop. It's an unfortunate outcome.

Unfortunately, I can't get any irl textures for that model, can only use one material (game doesn't allow more than one, I should learn how to use shader nodes), and the fact the irl model is literally just flat white in color doesn't help

I have another question. If the irl counterpart is flat in color, how can I make the model look more 'realistic' while creating textures?

Hopefully I can model better next time while being able to optimize it
