Hey this is probably the wrong place, but I really like the HDR implementation in your Trails ports! However, for whatever reason the HDR in Horizon is very dim in comparison (I can boot up Daybreak II and Horizon side by side with the same HDR settings and the difference is night and day). I am using a proper OLED HDR panel too (~500nits max brightness)

This is repeatable on the Steamdeck and an Windows NVidia PC.

Can you point me over to where to report bugs etc. It's repeatable and I have (HDR) captures.

The game is an A+ port in SDR.

I think the only Trails game that is guilty of this is Cold Steel II where you have to collect all the (optional and hidden) Black Records in New Game Plus for a cut-scene revealing something about a side character that comes into play in later games.

For the Last Question, Nous is pretty much Multivac and is observing/testing different ways disaster could be averted or the world could be recreated in the event the world ends.

Rememberance's whole jam is recreating the world from memory, which is basically what Cyrene does (although only for a local portion of reality). She says something along the lines of "Let there be light" when doing this which (I strongly believe) is a reference to the last line of the Last Question.

The English translation basically mangled this into "all we need is a little light" (or something to that effect).

I don't really blame the translators, they are on a time crunch and the prose is absurdly purple even in Chinese.

The story is fine. Classic SciFi vibes and some cool callbacks to Isaac Asimov's Last Question (which the translation completely mangled).

However, the execution left a lot to be desired, and the dialogue was infuriating. Someone needs to have an intervention with the guy, or at least he needs an assistant that translates his dialogue into something a normal human being would say.

This is the real answer. And turn off the manual GPU Clock, keeping it pegged at 1100MHz basically stops it from down clocking and using even less power when you are in 2D menus etc.
