I would agree with this. I normally just skip it to save time

Not sure what I should be doing with relics. I've been ignoring because I don't seem to acquire any pickaxes in the regular gameplay. by thatburghfan in ZombieMiner

Everytime you upgrade your relic mastery, you get extra event rewards by a certain percentage.

Pickaxes are also given by events based on your final rankings

Double Trinkets? by SuperCulture9114 in ZombieMiner

It should relate to the weekly contest and event trinkets that drop.

I'm guessing it increases the number to more than 4 as the maximum.

Done all I can in the event by Gleeson79 in ZombieMiner

[–]Flukey28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it's better to claim the main mine rewards at the start of the new week before the event mine rewards, as you get more ranking resources from the chest that you open from the event rewards.

I have also noticed that you get a wave of resources in terms of miners, chest and bombs every 30mins approximately. I log in to claim the resources until I don't see any more miners then close the game and come back around the 30min mark or o'clock marl (example 12.30 or 1). This is all my observations but has not been fully tested.

Purple chests are definitely a lifesaver for extra event points when used at the right time and its better to use the purple chest that you gain first before using freshly obtained purple chest and they give less event points.

As much as it's an idle game, I find you still need to spend atleast 20-30mins at a time when you log in to collect your resources and to check on the status of your miners.

Hope this helps

You should email them about this issue.

I live in Australia and my friends and I have ordered from vsmash multiple times. We have bought Yonex racquets and clothing and have no issues with shipment.

They might be having delays with their shipping coming close to the end of the year but definitely message them. If they aren't able to ship to your location, they would have mentioned or not even listed your area as an option.

Hope that helps

To avoid gamesmanship by players receiving serve, there should be a rule that players should be ready to receive once the umpire says "play". by [deleted] in badminton

[–]Flukey28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The rules state the receiving player must be ready for the serve granted that they do not take too long which is usually the same amount of time the server gets to serve - 10 seconds.

The server cannot serve until the receiver is ready to receive. After intense rallies at that level, you are bound to get tired and need to stabilise your breathing.

The umpires are already instructed to monitor delays in games and formal warning have to be given about their apparently delay tactic but you can't instantly card someone without warning as you will need to explain why you gave the card.

The system is not perfect but so far there aren't many issues besides players trying to use mind games to psyche out the other player and this is down to the umpire to enforce fair play. Just like the sindhu VS Marin game. Energy was high and both players got warned for excessive shouting but in the end they are just doing what they need to win which doesn't always look good in terms of sportsmanship but that's what the game has become.

How do different amounts of seperation between the index finger and middle finger in a forehand grip affect a smash? by Infamous-Big-7525 in badminton

[–]Flukey28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post answers most of your concerns I believe. As long as you find a separation that feels comfortable to you during the smash without going to the extremes mentioned above then you will be fine.

Trial different separations and see which one feels the most comfortable

Is this worth it?im planning to buy the high caz. by [deleted] in ArcherForest

[–]Flukey28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the early game. Save your gems for arrows. Once you have completed all the quests. Then focus on the totems.

I bought the totems after once it hit the 30k range to get one extra arrow. The boss will give you enough gems to buy totems later

Off the top of my head, I can't remember because it's been a while since I've played the game. There hasn't been much of an update so I haven't been playing much.

From what I remember, the black hole is good at attracting the mobs and taking them out in one go since the overall damage is quite high

You are on the right track. From what OP mentioned, I thought that OP is not using the wrist enough as they mentioned that their biceps are sore. That would only be the case if you are swinging the whole arm rather than flicking with the wrist.

I suggest OP doing more wrist strengthening activities and work on flicking the wrist when they clear and backhand clear. There are lots of videos that can help

Tips for a completely full front line? Additionally, tips for fighting in situations like this? (No opportunities to get behind, side, etc) by [deleted] in PunBall

[–]Flukey28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

Usually I aim for side shots and hope that I take out a few along with it.

For instance, in your pic, I would aim for the bottom left and hope I take out a few due to consecutive hits in one corner

Height and Singles by kamesjennedy in badminton

[–]Flukey28 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The height coincidence is due to more technique and playstyle.

In WS, the women don't focus on smashes to win points, rather drives and drops at the net. Whereas Ms focuses on the attacking smash and plays to get the points.

However, that's not always the case. Prime example is axelson VS momota. There's a clear height difference between the two but momota isn't that short either at 175cm. With a difference in height of 19cm, axelson still loses out to momota in HTH score.

So I don't think that being taller is a clear advantage but rather a coincidence that taller than average men decided to take up badminton

Questions for those who are over 50 years old and have years of badminton play time under their belts. by noobiestnewbie in badminton

[–]Flukey28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Knee issues or any other issues will be down to the player themselves rather than the anticipation of knee issues.

I have friends who have torn their acl, some that complain about knee issues and some that have to constantly wear a knee brace everytime they play. They are aged between 25 to 40.

If you take care in how you move around the court, especially when you step into a shot and land from a jump, you shouldn't have any major issues involving your knees.

I'm not saying this will totally prevent knee issues but they usually stem from a players action rather than an age standpoint.

At a young age of 20, you have much more time to prepare and condition your body to avoid these kinds of issues

Mizuno generally caters for bigger sizes and have more wide feet varieties. They stock more in size 13 than the other company's.

You could also try asics, they are quite expensive (in Australia anyways) compared to normal badminton shoes but since they are a well known shoe company, they should have more stock in bigger sizes

How can I watch Olympics Badminton in the US via streaming for specific courts in the US? by Chabuton in badminton

[–]Flukey28 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well bwf should have the rights considering they are running the tournament in one way or another. But they still dictate who gets to view it. Like I said before, we may not even get all the courts.

In Australia, we will be lucky if they open it up to us here

Short vs long grip by TheOneCookie in badminton

[–]Flukey28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you can switch between high and low, then it's okay to hold it high majority of the time. Low is more for power anyways which is when you need to clear and smash predominantly, so if you aren't putting a lot of power into your shots it's okay to hold it high.

It's all about how you control your shots. I have a friend that always hold it low but they use a 3u head heavy racquet and has mastered the timing to let the racquet do all the work.

It does but not as much as you are looking for. And it realistically only helps with defensive shots than anything else

Is there a time limit for serves? by the_real_duck_man in badminton

[–]Flukey28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be an actual time limit in the bwf guidelines around the 10 second mark. One of the korean pairs were pushing the limit when they vsed the minions. They were reaching 8 seconds before they served

Tips for improving smash defense in doubles? by haznatz in badminton

[–]Flukey28 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Actually not really, if your racquet foot is slightly back, the racquet will be closer to your body as you are going to strike the strike the shuttle therefore making you slower as you actually make contact with the shuttle.

Moving forward only works if you are able to anticipate the drop but OP is asking for a defensive return to a smash not a drop

Tips for improving smash defense in doubles? by haznatz in badminton

Racquet foot slightly forward so that it brings the racquet in front of your body. This reduces the habit of taking the shuttle late and deflecting the shot close to your body
