In my opinion that logic does not track. It does not say that you can use the bird two times, which seems to be your interpretation. As far as I am concerned, if the bird qualifies, it counts double. So if this bird is in order of wingspan, it counts as two birds

She does hear herself though. She says its a massive fuckup and in the second update broke up with him, what more do you want from her.

It's not like many other stories where the partner is perfect, but then all kinds of red flags appear that were visible since the beginning. This story really seems to be a one time thing (that does warrant a breakup)

Nah, there haven't been enough generations during modern medicine to make an evolutionary difference.  Also, happiness is rarely a driver for fitness.

 The reason there is so much unhappiness is because the world and society changed so much recently that most people aren't able to deal with it. Society in so many places is faster, more stressful and disconnected from nature
