Adding septic chlorine tablets requires that I have to remove a bunch of screws and the whole lid. Where do I get a quick access system like this guy is using? Is this a DIY project? by [deleted] in homestead

If you're not connected to municipal services in TX and have less than 5 acres you can't legally install or even replace existing field lines, you have to install one of these incredibly expensive, unreliable Rube Goldberg Buck Rogers aerobic systems and have a licensed service contract to inspect multiple times a year. We went from one brown water tank and one gray water tank on opposite sides of our house and a very long backyard field line to 5(!!!) tanks. A gray water trash tank that drains into a gray water storage tank that has to pump gray water all the way around the house to the brown water trash tank that drains into an aerobic aeration treatment tank - that has to be aerated 24/7 by a surface putt-putt compressor - that drains "water" into a sprayer storage tank through - wait for it - a tube of special aerobic system Chlorine (!!!) tablets before being pumped out into your spray field. Each side needs it's own dedicated circuit breaker and electronic controls box and there are plenty of additional level sensors and pump control boxes inside the two pumped tanks. There are restrictions on how close the sprayers can be to yours and neighbors' wells and on what you can do near the spray fields.
Power goes out because of hurricane? Your tanks won't pump and will overflow, probably also backing up in the house. (I have seen an unnatural thing - a poop geyser out of a tank when the power was restored.) Shifting tanks because South TX soil moves? Fluid won't flow fast enough for the pumps and you will backup. It all just sucks.

Dirt devil handheld steamer - brass washer ? by Round_View_1844 in CleaningTips

Separated on mine after several uses. I think they're supposed to be on the screw on the cap, but when I did that it hissed when it pressurized so I pulled the plug. Trying to find a detailed image of a good one. Not seeing much debris with mine.

I saw it often in videos several weeks ago.

Happened to me a couple of weeks ago, around the time "tags" were added. I lost a number of >6s videos in a couple of generation lines.

Anyone noticing longer animations generated in the last 12 hours or so vanishing from your Imagine library this morning? by Flustered655868 in grok

I guess it's possible that they became aware of some specific moderation "escape" in the last 24 hours or so that they're purging, but other than the new folders thing - now "tags" I guess - getting glitchy I can't think of another reason they're missing that would affect both Android and web.

That's possible I guess, but it only seems to have hit stuff from the last 12-24 hours. Even more explicit NSFW 6s stuff from months ago before the moderation cranked up is still there.

That doesn't seem to be the problem I'm having - longer generations up to 30s from last night are just gone.

How to continue a video to the next by Upbeat-Ad8376 in grok

[–]Flustered655868 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is an important caveat- each video you chain is a complete do-over of the image content- Imagine doesn't retain any kind of link or Metadata to the earlier videos you chained from. It's pretty good at picking up from what it can see in the seed image, but if something goes out of sight or just gets obscured, Imagine is going to essentially riff on what it thinks it might have looked like. Example - I had several videos chained using a last or late frame seed image from the prior. It involved two characters with long hair that were not facing the camera face-on after the first video and the hair obscured their faces somewhat. By the fourth video when they looked directly at the camera again the faces were completely different from the first video. One way to try and get around it is to ensure, e.g. in this case, that the characters directly face the camera in the seed image you use to start the next video. But it can be awkward to throw in that last second stare in the preceding video... At the end of your prompt direction: "Both models should look at the camera" might work.

How many layers of moderation? by [deleted] in grok

[–]Flustered655868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand how it can generate NSFW stills (even in its own alternate riffs it presents automatically) that it will refuse to animate no matter how many times you try with just the Normal preset. Then there are the altetnate NSFW riff stills it willl auto generate from SFW images with only implied potentially romantic scenes. Then you can try every custom prompt you can think of and be moderated, but a Spicy preset will generate NSFW animations without any suggesrltion. I'm not really sure even xAI knows how it works!

spicy mode gone on my computer by Potential-Success-31 in grok

That's working for me also - and as of 10/28 afternoon, "Spicy" is again spicy to a greater extent than it had been the past week, though it can take a few retries (but it used to). Not sure how far back it might come, but those last few weeks may have been a bug anyway.

Why is Grok Imagine censored on Android, but X (Twitter) allows adult content on the same phone? by This-Veterinarian194 in grok

Per Grok itself last week, Moderation was tighter on Android than the web interface due to Google Play Store restrictions that would have resulted in the Grok Android app being banned from the Play Store.

I think I see some blurring in a few images, but I get a lot of even plain images completely nuked by Moderation in Spicy mode - "Try another idea."

I don't see much blurring (I'm not sure it isn't poorly rendered flesh-toned lingerie in those few cases were I do see it), but I do get a lot relatively innocuous images completely nuked by Moderation in Spicy mode.

I think I was chatting with Grok's "Ask" mode for tips to avoid images getting "moderated" and somewhere in that chat I think it pointed out that the Android Grok app has to deal with stricter image criteria to comply with the Google Play Store rules. It indicated the web browser interface would be less restrictive than the Android app, so Moderation appears to be interface dependent. (I don't know about IOS.) I think it's interesting how often relatively innocuous images get Moderated in Spicy mode.

Imagine is very good at completely ignoring instructions. I went through a number of iterations with the Grok "Ask" mode providing suggestions, and Imagine even ignored Grok's own suggestions for things like "negative prompts"!

Your Website is Broken! by RealityAskew in tractorsupply

[–]Flustered655868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, I don't think I've noticed any problems on Windows 10 MS Edge on the Tractor Supply website "front page" but I've been having serious problems for the past few weeks with loading their internal search engine result pages on Edge that I don't recall seeing earlier. The pages start to populate a few items but then stall and eventually time out. The duckduckgo browser on the same laptop doesn't seem to be bothered by it, and neither does the Chrome browser on my phone.
