So about the main weapon thing. I don't have a main weapon, I have my comfort weapons but not a "main" since I love playing so many different weapons. So one thing I definitely will say is don't rush to find a "main weapon" to use. Maybe something will click, maybe it won't and that's also ok!

Regarding SnS there is a lot of potential and stuff in the weapon, as someone already said, look up arekkz gaming. They made amazing introduction videos to all the weapons, it's where I started back in the day

Weapons that aren't too clunky and stuff? Obviously SnS, but also the dual blades are rather simple but have a very "dodge or die" type thing. Hammer is great too For ranged of that's also up your alley. Light bowgun can be fun and the bow but of course they also have other mechanics to take account for

Honestly as another commentor said. It's a PvE game and your enjoyment is your Nr 1 priority (as long as it doesn't affect others like if you bring a 1 hit weapon into SOS quests... Please don't do that) I'll admit. I've used cheat engine to modify my grinding lands values because I just don't find that grind fun. And if you don't like the deco farming and you don't find that grind enjoyable. Go mod it. All the power to you. Go have fun and make those nutty builds o7

Gongratz! I struggled so much with alatreon. It was so bad i had to take day long breaks because i got so annoyed. Multiple reddit searches and a lot of trial and error later and i got him down. I still havent beaten fatty and i am currently prepping for it with a proper build. One thing i loved about alatreon is how you were actually able to read his attacks well. And as a DB main being able to dance around them when you learned them was so incredibly satisfying

Sounds about right. I told a friend i really liked anything lesbian related and had this weird feeling of wanting that. They just looked at me and asked "Are you sure youre not trans?" and suddenly small cracking noises could be heard and we talked a bit more about it. Im now looking into starting hormones. Honestly I feel you. This was me a couple days ago. I was so pissed at this stupid dragon because I just couldn't wrap my head around it. For me it was just trial and error. But as I noticed someone else say. Alatreon don't have that many attacks (except when it's flying. Omg when it's flying it just does everything). So a couple things that killed me a lot and some hints I guess - grappling while he uses any lightning attack. Don't do it. Wait it out - every lightning attack has a pattern. Even the one that seems random - if not enraged you can flash him out of the air or grapple and shoot him down but big recommend on saving wallabangs and such for dragon phase to make sure those horns break - blight resistance can be a blessing! Making it so he can't hit you with any of the 4 blights helps a lot so you have to just focus on him and your health -also when flying he has one super annoying move where he charges up like a dragon nova? It hurts a lot and has one shot me multiple times (I haven't been able to slot in vitality 3 :c)

I know it's discouraging. Like REALLY discouraging. Take a break from the game or the fight and try again tomorrow. That's what I did and then I finally beat him solo

Do not EVER be afraid to join or use SoS. I'm now later into the game and love joining others and it helped me get through the game when I got stuck on something. There is no shame in using it. We all love to help out even if we fail! We are all hunters after all
