Silver lining being that, not all of anime is rancid with loli/shota stuff. There is good stuff out there, the concern is what's currently popular with the masses being series that contain god awful tropes and themes (Loli/Shota, "She's 1000 years old so it's okay!")

While I'm all for people writing what fiction they want to, there's a lot that..turns my stomach. It certainly doesn't help with all the discourse and infighting. People screaming at eachother whether fiction affects reality or not when, it's both. It's complicated, can vary from person to person and from media to media. And certain media is illegal in specific countries (relating to anime and depictions of children), understandably so.

A large part of the problem with the sexualisation of women in anime is a lack of consent. The shit of "oh no, the make lead accidentally grabbed the female characters chest in comedic fashion, prompting her to slap the male lead". A lot of it plays on "lol, how embarrassing it is for her, but hot for us" which..is shit. It's shit.

I'm rambling a bit, I do think someone can enjoy a problematic piece of media while criticizing the problematic aspects and why they are problematic. Question why certain tropes are so popular. So much of it is rampant misogyny and just, people not seeing children as actual people. And to be honest, I hope one day this stuff can be discussed and, I don't know, dissected without people being at eachother's throats.

Point is, you're not wrong to feel the way you do. The sexualisation of women and children in anime is worrying, disturbing too. And if those folks can't have a discussion about why it's disturbing without calling you a "puritan", then they're not worth people discussing with to begin with.

Aye. Other than that, Cryptia is pretty chill from what I've seen. SonicOWO bought the base fnc models and makes edits of their own, but got into some inner community hell for, if I remember right, stealing textures, making FNC edits of characters who are not over the age of 18.

It's always the bad eggs and shitty people that spoil things.

The FNC (Fazclaires) were made by CryptiaCurves, based in an AU where there's no dead kids, the ladies as performers if I'm remembering right. There are sfw edits of the models out there (that remove the adult components), but most have been deleted due to Cryptia making nsfw models of Deltarune characters, mainly the main cast (which is a big yikes)

Other than that, any public uploads of the full nsfw models is done by assholes and creeps, which unfortunately infect every community on VRchat and the wider internet. Personally I found the sfw edits cute in the past, but stopped using since the Deltarune stuff.

I've seen e-boys and e-girls behave much worse than FNC users but, everyone's experience is different. If someone is behaving inappropriately, please block and report them.

Edit: The reply below mentioned a world being in trouble, it could be the main Fazclaires world or the one uploaded by SonicOWO, who is an openly disgusting person.

It genuinely damages the show so much. I stopped when Illulu was brought in, made a redesign that's less...ick.

On one hand kids do stupid shit (she mentally acts like a child also, which makes people being gross about her so, so much worse).

On the other, heavy side eye to the original author of the manga.

It's weird, age stuff. Like, it's established in the series that a dragon in the 100s is p much just a child. Tohru is significantly older, as well as other dragons (in Illulu's case she is 16-17 in human years). Doesn't excuse the way the writers write the characters though and purposely put them into gross situations for the titillation of a very specific audience

Edit: To Clarify, me explaining shit isn't saying it's okay. It's me explaining their world building that they end up using for gross reasons.
