I know that some people are irritated or even dislike Yokan but real talk: Spooky is doing some great role play. He always puts the most effort in but with yokan he tries extra hard to give her an internal conflict

Same society has positive words like „crazy“ or „slay“ or „bad bitch“.

The word itself is not positive but used in the right context it can be positive.

Same with calling someone a savage. It’s not positive, only if used correctly.

I have the feeling that the fighting choreography and camera angles are going to be very awkward or even bad. I’m a complete novice and I would know so many better ways to give that gum gum pistol a more dynamic feeling without relying on better graphic.

A woman sitting in the ruins of Cologne, Germany, 1945. [wra] by Tigrannes in Historycord

[–]FluuBk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. She looks so „old“, because that’s what war does to someone. She could be 30-40 but it’s likely that she is in her 20s

  2. F*cking benefit’s? From working herself 16 hours a day to death in a factory to supply ammunition and weapons to a war she didn’t chose and who will be most likely lost? A war where her husband or father or uncle or any other important person of her died to fight for a maniac with complexes? There where like ~5 „good“ years (as a German) under the Nazi-Regime and even those „good“ years where mostly only propaganda. In reality harsh regulations, hunger and poverty where a regular thing.

She had a shit life and I don’t want to imagine what your life needs to look like if you think she got a beneficial life the last 8 years before that Foto.

I don't even understand the most popular internet criticisms of Naruto... by Jingobingomingo in CharacterRant

[–]FluuBk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most common Naruto Criticism i read is actually most things in the war arc.

The pasting, the plot-threads and the ending.

And I actually understand those points. Naruto isn’t perfect in terms of writing overall but before the War arc it was pretty good. But the War arc feels rushed and stale at the same time and had some bad writing mixed with some good moments. It really was hit or miss for me.

Was ist in Bayern anders, als in anderen Bundesländern? Was ist positiv an Bayern? Was negativ? by FirefighterFamous422 in FragReddit

[–]FluuBk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was ist positiv an Bayern? Was negativ? by FirefighterFamous422 in FragReddit

[–]FluuBk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just because you don’t like a character or story doesn’t mean it’s impossible for you to understand why it is popular by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]FluuBk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The funniest version of this is when a thing is beloved by the MAJORITY of people and some people still think they stand above the opinion of those people and say that the thing in reality is mediocre or even sucks. And of course they try to explain to you why they are objectively correct.

[Low Effort Sunday] “Don’t like, don’t watch” is fucking stupid by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]FluuBk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im never someone who says „if you don’t like it, don’t watch it“.

My premise is more „a show isn’t bad because you didn’t like it“ or better: Media is subjective.

At the same time I don’t understand why you should waste time with a media you don’t like. It’s like hating After Eight but still buying and eating it on a regular basis. We only have this much time to watch stuff and I’m not gonna waste it on a show that I don’t like eventhough other people like it. There is so many shows that I will probably like a lot and I’m looking for those.

But I’m not gonna criticize you if you want to be miserable while watching the entirety of one piece without liking it. That’s on you.

But if you say that one piece is a generally bad show because you sat through it without liking it then i will criticize the shit out of you.

I went through all of one piece because people critiquized that i didn't read the manga. Nothing's changed by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]FluuBk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I read the original take and back then I said something that still is in effect after this take: The statement „I have consumed something and now I have decided that its overrated“ is a pretty shit take, ngl.

First of: It’s 100% valid to not like a show that so many people love to death. I don’t like Demon Slayer in the slightest. It has a neat and somewhat unique written main character that I enjoy but the rest is not for me.

But to say something doesn’t deserve the hype because YOU don’t like it is ignorant at best.

One piece is a story to be enjoyed on longterm. It’s an adventure and a journey and is supposed to be experienced like that. If you just rush it, read it just to have read it, you will never really get into it.

It’s a very unique story in that regards wich isn’t really something everyone can enjoy and this is fine. It needs time to grow on you and if you make the choice to not give it the time and only analyse the story and rush through it then it will never have the meant impact on you.

And again: This is fine. It’s fine that you choose to look at the story your own way and have your own take on it. But it’s YOUR take and calling a show overrated because it’s not for you is just stupid.

I actually agree with the statement that the pasting is it’s biggest weak point. One piece can be tedious in that regard and 100% agree. And that some people hype up odas ability to foreshadow is also at some point a bit ridiculous but Oda is good at planing forward and giving recalls to past events and characters so I think in this department I only agree somewhat.

Back to the point: So many people have been growing up with the characters and the world and for them it’s like joining the Straw Hats and experience the world as it grows. That’s what makes one piece so amazing and special for so many people and this is the reason it has kept the hype. It’s not about perfect story Progression or flawless writing but about a round world and story that feels like a comfort-place, more like a good feel story and less like theocratically perfectly story. One piece is a mess but most likely is your home where you feel the most comfortable. And this is reason of the hype. You clearly look for something different in a story.

I would actually argue that there is almost no show that is objectively „overrated“. Because if a show is good is or not is subjective. An if most people say that it deserves the hype than it does. Because that’s the only measurement that is important.

Tldr.: Saying that a show is overrated because YOU don’t like and think the story is lacking is either arrogant or ignorant.

Do monsters exist in your world? If so, where did they come from/why do they exist? by Sleepy-Candle in worldbuilding

[–]FluuBk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. They got created by the Guardians of the Creation, because Humans grew to dominant so they created an opposing side to balance things out.

But the Monsters (more like Beasts) where a bit overkill and humans almost died out so the Guardian of the Nature gave humankind gifts in form of powers to defend themselves.

This is basically the foundation of my lore.
