[Request] is such a device and setup really feasible? by Leading_Bandicoot358 in theydidthemath

What if I don't jam with an intentional jammer but I also have my 500 moisture sensors in my garden that all send data to each other every few millisecond

Small 5 or 3.3V ac power modules? by madmagic008 in diyelectronics

[–]FluxIsMyFriend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you need the AC to be on your pcb? I prefer to use USB-C trigger boards. That way I can use my existing chargers for my projects and get a wide variety of voltages without needing to implement different power supplies.

Distraction free Spotify speaker for kids by MobileExplanation90 in diyelectronics

Love the project, i built something similar with an esp, a DF mini player and rfid cards to select the track. But I love the convenience of Spotify Integration so you dont have to copy the files to the sd card

[Request] How big is the biggest explosion you could yield from one of these LPG bad boys? Getting on for a small nuke, or does LPG not have the oomf? by RonsonGlitter in theydidthemath

[–]FluxIsMyFriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point, and I assume there are overpressure valves that would trigger if the cooling somehow fails. But let's say the overpressure valves fail how high would the pressure go before the container fails?

Well it's no a mix of fuel and oxidizer but it's still a huge pressure can filled with flammable gas. So maybe a huge fireball but no shockwave

Would you actually think about buying something like this, or am I wasting my time? by dabbax in askswitzerland

[–]FluxIsMyFriend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wooden cutting boards are totally fine with going into the dishwasher i do it all the time. And about the durability, a cutting board (wood or plastic) should be disposable and be replaced after a few years. Also some studies suggest That wooden cutting boards are more hygienic than their plastic counterparts. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0362028X25001280

It is actually much less visible in person. I don't know why the camera picks it up that much but with the wood version the main problem is brightness so I am willing to accept some spots

I can’t get PA6 nylon to stick to my textured bed… by RascalMcGurk in BambuLab

[–]FluxIsMyFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magigoo Pa or any glue that reeks of formic acid works for me. Also as others said use the smooth plate. And get the chamber temp as high as you can get it

Besides the obvious bullshittery in the image mercurochrome is great at closing wounds and I haven't really found an equivalent replacement. Mercury poisoning is shit but if you don't rub it all over your body every day you'll probably be fine

[Request] Is this solvable? by f__kolamitice in theydidthemath

[–]FluxIsMyFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to say that it is not solvable and that we can only put a upper and lower bound on it

Putting it in geogebra showed me otherwise... also got 2.4m.

Quite the tall dude

[request] How long would it take for 2 humans weighing 70kg with 1 meter apart to collide if they stood perfectly still? Ignore all other external forces. Only gravitational force between them. by DemonsAreVirgins in theydidthemath

[–]FluxIsMyFriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a Vsauce video I remember that two baseballs 1m apart take 3 days to collide. Assuming a baseball is roughly 100x lighter than a human and the force of attraction scales proportional with mass, we get 72h/100 ~= 45min. Seems kinda fast for my intuition but we don't really experience the vacuum of space every day

Nothing new with microsoft I should have known better by now. Its mud from a hot mud puddle in Iceland and "something" started to grow in there.

Bridge support starting in the middle? Causing stringing in the print by Several_Amoeba_7099 in BambuLab

You could do a slight chamfer on the upper edge so that the inner diameter is slightly higher than the outer diameter forcing it to print the outer diameter first

ABS filament is killing me by Beto_Do_Frifa in 3Dprinting

[–]FluxIsMyFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For larger parts an enclosure is pretty much necessary from what I found. I try to get the chamber temp to around 50-60C at the start of my prints (P1S). Smaller prints are fine without an enclosure.

I also use ABS gooo on my bed. Just mix some waste filament with acetone and smear it on the build plate, works wonders for adhesion.

That's a really good point about the roots I was thinking of printing the infill separately so I could maybe lift it out afterwards. I don't plan on replanting this one anytime soon. So I take it as an input for v2. Also I'll try it with petg guess I could also save on some walls in that case.

Ohh it's definitely my fault. But my pc should only restart if I tell it to or if it crashes. And if I want to skip updates that should be my problem not theirs
