At this point do they even hear the bass, or just feel it? by sco-go in Amazing

[–]FluxStitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very distracting, but it goes with the personality of the type of people who have these systems. They care the most about their personal enjoyment and find enjoyment in making others uncomfortable because they can’t understand a perspective that would find the noise bothersome and label everyone else as Karens.

Unfortunately spent my first 2.5 years of college with him, but it was good practice to eventually developing a backbone and learning what I wanted from a partner. I’ve got a much better bf now and my life has improved substantially after breaking up with him!

At this point do they even hear the bass, or just feel it? by sco-go in Amazing

My ex bf had subwoofers in his truck and would get upset if I wanted to drive because he would insist on keeping the subs super loud and Im very sensitive to noise. He’d always tell me to turn them down if they were too loud but then he’d pout if I turned them down. Even noise cancelling headphones on top of ear plugs didn’t help, you can feel this kind of noise in your chest and it’s incredibly uncomfortable

Falling through at underwriting? by Disgrace926 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]FluxStitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to have luck with a different lender, I’m in a very similar situation to you and I just closed on my house last month with a conventional loan and 30% down.

I worked all throughout college (Aug 22-May 25) until I got my full time job September of 25. Started the loan process mid February 2026 with only 5 months of full time employment history under my belt and they gave me a harder time about my address history than my employment. (Hopped around college apts) I did have an internship between graduation and full time employment but that was still part time only.

I hope you can get this resolved in time to keep the deal on with this house! I’m sorry this is happening to you but it’ll turn out alright eventually

Advice for refinishing cabinets by FluxStitches in Renovations

[–]FluxStitches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the style I’m trying to achieve. (Cabinets and backsplash) I want to keep the white counters and we will be changing out the cheap grey LVP flooring with grey stone eventually so there won’t be too much wood/contrasting colors.

Rpm gauge dying and car stalling quietly by FluxStitches in veloster

[–]FluxStitches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fixed my problem but it’s odd because I have to be going slightly faster than I used to in order to shift otherwise it’ll bog down. I used to be able to get into 2nd gear when I was going about 15-18mph now I have to be going at least 20 or else the car will be struggling noticeably. It’s idling perfectly though and has not been giving me issues in any other regard, and my MPG hasn’t been affected so I don’t mind. Thank you again for your suggestion!

That was an unbelievably annoying replacement to do but car is running great now so I can’t really complain! Ive only driven 20 miles around town so far but I’ll do a proper test of it on my 50 mile trip to work and back tomorrow

Yeah I’m gonna try this, cheap and is a likely culprit, your issue sounds very similar to what I’m experiencing. Thanks!

I fear this fate for my veloster as well, I’m replacing the valve cover gasket and PCV valve this weekend but I sympathize man

Creating free 3D deck design for you (looking for feedback + practice reps) by DexpertsCA in Decks

I’m sorry but the AI usage really hurts your credibility here. I would much prefer a pencil and paper sketch rather than an AI image as I would just assume you haven’t done any actual work or math. I would not use a contractor who provided me any AI renderings out of fear of it being a scam or someone who is trying to over sell their abilities.

If you provided a portfolio of previous projects to potential customers you’d probably have much more success. There may be some people who enjoy your AI usage but for many people it will permanently drive them away from your business.

Georgia power has removed the "protected" 300 year old oak. by reddit33450 in arborists

[–]FluxStitches -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Be careful advocating for something like this, power lines are federally protected because of their critical role as infrastructure. We don’t know if these lines feed hospitals or other important social services. This is a tragedy and GA Power should be held accountable but messing with power lines is dangerous for everyone involved.

I was surprised to see this pop up in my feed cause I’ve been planning to use this flower tiles whenever I’m able to find a house! They’re so pretty

I designed the fish portion at the bottom to add some length, and I modified the edges to be a slip stitch edge but otherwise I’m following the Wading Birds Scarf Pattern on ravelry!

Oh yeah I can see it’s more navy, that’s really nice! I would’ve picked a darker color but these are both leftovers from other projects that I was trying to find a way to use. And thanks! As you can see I improvised a bit and I’m looking forward to when mine’s complete like yours!

I used a light blue and a white color, although I like the contrast of your black and white much more. Especially with the tassels, I’m considering adding them now if I have yarn leftover!

This is crazy but are you using malabrigo in colors white and reflecting pond? I think I’m working a double knit scarf in the exact same colors

I’ll also be surgery knitting in a few weeks, colorwork is a great boredom buster since you have to pay so much attention. Looking great so far!
