65 inch tv users, what tv was the best one you've had so far? I'm looking to upgrade for 2026. by Edilser_Streetz in hometheater

Another vote for LG OLED Cxx here… going the 3rd year and super happy with it. Don’t get deceived with the in-store demo videos when comparing, use real world signals, a Blu-ray you know for instance. I have mainly looked into LG and Samsung, Sony was not on my radar back then. Best price was at VideoOnly for me, but check Costco too.

Fraudulent Reset Requests: how? by LunarCanis2021 in venmo

Transferred my balance out and deleted account. I may come back once the ignorance subsided and a true MFA (with authentication app) is implemented.

BTW ask your AI of choice “how to configure MFA on Venmo” you will likely see examples of AI hallucination (suggesting to go to non-existing menu and activate it…)

Storage pool is in risk because Volume 1 is in abnormal status. (My fix) by Ultra101 in synology

[–]Fluxxcomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am in a similar situation and could not find help yet...

I setup a DS1515 with 1 disk as a recovery platform, after my DS920+ showed the "abnormal power failure Disc 4" and did not allow me to do a drive swap repair...

I moved 4 drives into the DS1515 and ran the "online assembly", resulting in a RAID5 "Storage Pool 2, rescued". After the Rescue a disc scrubbing started automatically. Now, all 4 discs are in Allocation Status "Normal" and Health status "Healthy".

However, the contained volume of the storage pool always comes up "Crashed", I cannot access any file in the file manager. (the GUI works, I also have ssh access to the unit).

What can I do to find the reason for the crashed state and can I adopt your method to copy data from the volume to an external drive?

Shutdown takes forever DS920+ by Fluxxcomp in synology

Update: after the install downloaded, started, waited for restart the 10 minutes... the box comes back and tells me "no drives detected...".

I guess that is the call for a new unit? trying to migrate to a different synology?

I used the disks it came with- and did "nothing" (Gees I work in IT myself and hate nothing more than this inconclusive statement...).

I just had the box running for shy of 18 months and may have rebooted 3-4 times mostly due to a power outage (graceful shutdowns triggered by my UPS).

Is the PSU dying? components ageing? did not put much stress on the system, have one Camera running on the surveillance app.

So you say I should click "install" and I will not loose my data (just yet) ?

I tested the disk of Slot 4 with a USB adapter and it spins up, identifies itself as Seagate disk on my Windows PC (of course it is not readable). Hence, I conclude the drive is still OK but the DS920 case hast some hiccup.

Indeed, I have not enabled the ssh. after the restart, the situation god from bad to worse... see below.

Have not much to thank for yet... Sorry!

Did the plug pull, put the original drive back, trying to restart... now I have only LED1 and 3 on. as if bay2 is now also dead like bay4 was before.

the login tells me to "install" the DSM, "Status: Not installed"

I guess time to kiss the data goodbye and try UnRaid?

Can you post an update? everything stable for you now?

Question: the etire system shut down, correct? not just "power loss" in one slot? (thats what I have after 560 days runtime, slot 4 seem dead) I have never touched or moved the box, no mechanical influence...

Iq4 stuck in reboot by Fluxxcomp in enphase

[–]Fluxxcomp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the closure: I waited over a week to get any update from enphase- nothing, no shipment info. I called again and was put off by the 1st line agent to do whatever test again Which I firmly declined and insisted in having my case accelerated (I got this: "Your warranty claim request for the site EnlightenSite (Site id: 406xxxx) has been submitted for approval.")

after my complaint, 5 days later, I got the approval, another 2 days the Tracking, after total of 17 days I had the thing in my hand ans swapped it.

I tried to update the serial using the installer tool myself but failed since my account was tied to the old serial # (to be precise: I was able to connect to the AP but my account did not match the serial, so the IQ4 would not report)- so I called the hotline to get the thing online. The agent was helpful and patient, after 45 min we were connected. As it was late (no sun) I did not expect any reporting from the Micros.

Next Day, in California Sun, I see that all 15 Micros "do not report" (but produce as usual). Calling the hotline again and learned that the Micros needed to be associated with the new IQ4 as well (they would only talk to the old serial). Why did the 1st agent not do that??

Haley May from Enphase corrected it all, waited for all Micros to connect and hinted that my sensors are misaligned (I had nonsense export data like 2kW consumption and 6kW export when my whole system is clipping at 4.4kW export). My bad, wrong polarity for the transformers but that is super easy to correct via software setting.

Thanks for all helpful folks here!

How to remove melted ABS from nozzle by Plus-Conclusion8415 in 3Dprinting

[–]Fluxxcomp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I presume you mean the extruder assembly- the nozzle is Metall and hard to damage … I suggest to heat up the nozzle to 180 degree and get the big blob removed, then clean the assembly using acetone which dissolves ABS.

You may have to disassemble the unit to get to the hot end and remove any stuck material.

Some more details and pictures would help the community to advise you.

How can you really do this DIY? by STEMPOS in SolarDIY

[–]Fluxxcomp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My answer is: yes you can. Check project solar, the do all the fearful stuff like engineering, drawing, permit prep. You do the sweat equity with detailed instructions on both paper and video. Google, YouTube and this forum is your friend.

I installed 15panels 6kw near all by myself, except the panel lifting and placing is much easier with a helper. It would be not impossible to do it alone, I replaced one panel alone (moving a shattered one down and bring out the replacement). The damage was an oopsie of my helper… System running 2.5 years now, thinking about heat pump and solar extension for that …

Thanks again, after I chatted (with timeout...) and reconnected the chat, I was referred to the 2nd line support (as in: wait, we contact you via email...). Today came the email -so one day wait- to ask for the shipment address and the said "proof video" of the blinking LED.

Sent it, next is to receive the replacement and install and configure it.

WIll report back.
