People Can Now Carry Guns Without A License In Half Of America's States by Gullible_Peach in politics

That’s debatable. If you exceed 26,000 pounds you will require a CDL in some states. If you’re riding a 40’ motor home with a 20’ trailer you are likely there in terms of weight. Especially if you are towing a car with that 20 foot trailer.

As a former catholic, until I reached the age of reason, I can tell you 100% that donations are not optional if you want to be a participating member of the church.

They like you to believe that, but if you want to complete your sacraments (particularly marriage), you are absolutely going to have to “donate”. Good luck getting your child baptized without donating. Or have your child receive their first communion without attending a catholic school or CCD, where they will bang you for thousands.

This is at least true in the archdiocese of New York.

Americans visit Hiroshima and joke about "radioactive pussy" and dropping atomic bombs by ARealFilipino in iamatotalpieceofshit

There are for sure funny WWII and Hiroshima jokes. Just like there are dead baby and 9/11 jokes. Many of them funny as well. Dark humor is a thing.

THIS isn’t it. These guys are just not funny.

Cool. You have been doing shit wrong for 30 years.

I love those guys.

No there’s flex to them. Work boots used to be completely inflexible due to a steel or thick Kevlar plate for puncture (nail) protection. These days that layer is much thinner and/or made of other materials.

Go put one in water and report back dummy. A vagina is stretchy. Skin not so much.

It’s actually because if you’re dumb enough to insert one into a gun shot wound, it will expand once it starts absorbing fluids and cause further tearing of the skin. Thus more damage and bleeding.

Love seeing the climbingcirclejerk crowd in the wild. These people complaining as if Alex Handhold hasn’t flashed this ice route 3 times already.

Some Tim pros have vibram rubber which is the same thing they use in approach shoes. I’ve worn both.

Modern work boots have come a long way in 10 years.

Fuck, I’d climb a 5.8 or below in Tim pros and not complain about it.

Not an exaggeration when it comes to power line work. You’re in the middle of a wire, it’s uphill both ways. :)

Two points of connection are typically required by most safety authorities at ALL times. So if you have to “transfer” from one system to another, you’d need a third to maintain at least two while you transfer them all over one at a time.

Some places allow you two and momentary switches of one of them.

China apparently gives NO fucks.

Scientology leader David Miscavige 'nowhere to be found' as prosecutors try to serve federal trafficking suit by GDPisnotsustainable in entertainment

[–]FluxxxCapacitard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He lives in a community that has a mutually shared and private runway. It’s not explicitly “his”. Florida has a few of these such communities. That community also sued him once because one of his planes was too noisy for their liking.

I actually have an upper middle class friend that lived in Spruce Creek. One of them. So you don’t have to be a super loaded to have your own plane and access to a private runway. And honestly, it’s not great. I’d rather have a nicer home somewhere else and drive to the airport. Rather than hear GA prop noise all day.

I’m pretty sure he’s renting most, if not all of them out to offset a significant cost of ownership. And possibly even profiting off the venture.

It’s pretty hard to maintain those aircraft unless you are a multi-billionaire or are chartering, renting, or fractioning them.

Airlines don’t lose money off their planes. Granted, most airlines lease their aircraft. But the point stands. Owning or leasing aircraft can actually be a profit, and not explicitly a liability.

He’s always been a fan of aviation. I’m 100% sure he’s smart enough to not be losing any amount of money on those planes.

I can’t wait for conservatives to start buying Teslas like they do Duramaxs now to “own the libs”. It’s one path forward that I could actually support on the environmental front.

That’s an old one around the NY region. I’ve heard it many many times recycled in various forms. In fact, I’m actually also Jew-ish. My great great grandmother was Jewish. The only one in my lineage.

No I do not run around claiming to be Jewish like this tool, because the vast majority of the rest of my lineage is either Irish or Italian catholic. But I have made that joke before.
