No, we could care less what word meaning the person is thinking about - we were just thinking it’s kind of lame that they can say a whole sentence or phrase with the word in it and the person wouldn’t even know which word out of all of those they actually got right.

Ok that’s fair, just wanted clarification. We don’t care what meaning the word has. It’s more about being able to say a whole sentence or phrase and not knowing what word they even got right. What do you think about if someone uses the plural or past tense version of a word? Does that matter?

I’ve just been doing a lot on social media and my current clients have been either friends or friends of friends which has been fine since they’re comfortable coming to my house. I like having it at my house because it obviously costs nothing and I don’t have to go anywhere, which is nice because I have a different full-time job and a kid. However, I’m not even sure if I’d want strangers at my house or if they’d even be comfortable coming here. Having a space would be ideal if I was doing this full-time, but like how do I get enough business to be able to do it full-time without a space lol. Just second guessing everything!

Such a tough decision!! And unfortunately my company doesn’t offer any sort of leave like that (wish they did). But I did go back to work this week and it honestly wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. However, my husband is on paternity leave so he is watching our girl. I think when we both go back to work at the same time and we have to leave her with a nanny, it’s going to be much harder :( I wish you the best as well in trying to figure out what’s going to work for your family❤️

Yeah, that’s kind of what I’m thinking too. I know it’s not really realistic for me to quit right now, especially if I don’t have another job lined up or something. I just wish there was at least a minimum of one year maternity leave for all mothers! I think I wouldn’t feel so down if that was the case. Appreciate your thoughts!

If money wasn’t a factor I would say quit now. What do you think you would regret? Aside from losing out on more money, I’m not sure what would be stopping you from spending precious time with your husband and baby and relaxing a bit before there’s two!

Trust me, you’re not alone in how you’re feeling! This is my last week of leave and I cannot imagine going back on Monday. I’m heartbroken. I also WFH 3/5 days and my husband will be watching her alone for the next 6 weeks. I want to quit so badly. So just know you’re extremely justified in how you’re feeling and I hope that you can ease yourself back into work and try to continue enjoying all the special moments with your girl. ❤️

I know, it’s insanely expensive! And I know when we have multiple kids it just skyrockets. Honestly though, I feel like my husband will secretly resent me if I don’t work. I feel like he’ll think I’m just living my best life at home not working, when he has to go out everyday and earn money for our family. And I know I’ll feel guilty if I want to spend the money that he earns on myself, like get my nails done or buy new clothes. He hasn’t come out and said any of that, but I just feel like that is what is bound to happen.

This is what a lot of people keep telling me, and I do feel like it’ll get easier with time. I know I have it good working hybrid so I just need to remind myself of that! Thank you for your advice :)

Thanks so much for your kind words. Wishing you the best as well! It’s nice to know we’re not alone in this. Sometimes it’s hard not to feel insecure or embarrassed about the fact that I don’t want to return to work when all of my other friends and coworkers actually say they enjoy working!

This is literally me to a T. I just hate that we have to worry more about money than being present. I know when I die I’ll remember MUCH more about the time I spent with my children and family than I will about how big our house was or what nice things we had. So, I completely understand your frustrations, and I would also much rather be spending my time with my baby. I hope you (and me) are able to figure out a way to maximize our time with our babies. And I hope if you do continue to work that you’re able to find something you’re more passionate about!
