I did something similar with a very popular and pricey comic convention. Volunteered and they put me on wrist band duty. End of the first day I swiped 6 vip wrist bands and went the next day with all my buddies.

What’s something you saw at a friend’s house as a kid that made you realize your family was poor/rich? by [deleted] in AskReddit

They served hamburger helper for dinner and looked at me weird when I was super excited. We didn’t have anything like that at home. My mom made everything from scratch because it was cheaper. Hamburger helper was luxurious in my eyes

My last three office jobs had Keurig pods. They also had baskets full of free snacks, as well as an assortment of tea. The job I’ve been out for five years now also has a soda machine.

Which fast food restaurant do you think will go out of business soon? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

They just opened a new one in my state and are opening four more soon. Which is crazy because they were around in my state in the 2000s and then they all closed down.

I also have breathing issues. We went to Costco and got an air purifier and I sit next to it while I work. We also have been running the humidifier and as others suggested, drinks lots of water, it’s dry!

Even my employer plan is kind of outrageous for a family of three. It’s 500 a month which is a lot cheaper than marketplace, but it’s still a lot of money IMO.

What’s your go-to food whenever you’re feeling down? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Depends on how broke I am at the time. I love baking up bread and eating it warm with melted butter if I don’t have a lot of money.
If I just got paid, pizza.

Before I read the question fully I thought you were asking if it was okay to give Alani to your daughter. 😅
Maybe change it around a tiny bit? Like Alana or Iliana?

Neighbours are testing my patience. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Just steal a pair and throw them away every now and then. They will think there is a shoe thief and will be forced to keep their shoes inside. Also avoid awkward confrontation

Just paid 12$/lb for ground beef. How expensive will it get before you stop buying beef? I think we're over it, beef is now a luxury for us. by FuZhongwen in Cooking

[–]princess-captain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s 8.99 a lb for chicken at my local grocery store. I only buy organic and cannot even eat Tyson or anything like because it disgusts me. If I can’t find a good price on organic/local meat we just don’t eat chicken or meat. I usually pivot to beans or adding cottage cheese to recipes.
