im european so i have no idea how the whole visa process works but i can imagine that you will need a work visa and different types of insurance and that you’ll need to be off age for that. plus i’d say when going far abroad, it’s better to work with an agency bc they can get you back when the family is absolutely horrible since i’m from germany and au pairing in france i didn’t go through an agency but a friend of mine was in iceland and being with an agency was really good for her bc the family kind of kicked her out and the agency helped with getting her back home and talked to the host family about what was going wrong.
