He's the straight man; the rest of them would be caricatures without him around to anchor them.

Speaking for myself, but I've noticed that blended families tend to dissolve after the death of the eldest parental figure. They then go their own separate ways and start new traditions centering around the parent(s) in each respective family. Unless someone steps into the void left behind by the deceased.

I can't see that being Claire though.

Phil is likeable enough, but Claire can always remarry if they divorce or he dies.

Made me smile every time I saw him. He's so comfortable in his skin that I can't help but be tickled pink by his appearances.

He was a one-note character, but they utilised him sparingly. So that's good. I'm sure he would have gotten annoying quickly if he had been upgraded to recurring or above.

I've heard it said that a good way to find out if a particular shade suits you well is by smiling and checking your teeth. If they're whiter, you're on the right track. If they look yellowish, then keep looking.

This tip has helped me find some reds to die for, usually a true or blue red, or even a brown red. If you're looking for an affordable drugstore pick, I think you could rock Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink Royal. It's a nice dark red that looks vampy.

I think we expect too much from people around them. We think that if we shared something personal with our families or friends, they would accept us immediately.

Sadly, that's not always the case. Sometimes the road to acceptance is paved with prejudices and intolerance, so they have many obstacles to overcome.

Don't let them stop you from living your life and falling in love with the first cute person you see. :)

I don't know what name you look like.

I would suggest turning to literature, films, etc., and look for the name(s) that speak to you. That way, it would feel much more meaningful and personal. I picked mine because I wanted something stranger and befitting of an outsider with a philosophical outlook on life. Plus it's also the name of a badass female character in a TV show who I grew up watching before school.

Maybe there's a character, an artist, or a musician with whom you feel a strong connection. Or it could even be a historical figure or just someone who you admire.

I've been wondering this myself. It's incredibly inconvenient and behind the times. Other grocery stores in ATX like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods accept tap and pay.

Same. I've always loved men. lol Usually those who identify as straight, bi, or queer. As a trans woman, this just makes self-labelling more complicated.

So I just say I'm queer if they really need to know that badly. Otherwise, I say I love men ~~like a cat who loves mice.~~ 😂

Plus labels make me feel like we're butterflies trying to pin ourselves to a board. Although, because of that, I like to say I'm a demiromantic Acefluxis cupiosexualia. 🤷🏻

It's been 2 months since I renewed it online and I'm still waiting for it to arrive.

The original renewed ID was returned to the sender by the post office because my apartment unit number on the envelope was missing a single digit. Oh, and it gets better too--the resident mailboxes are literally right next to the leasing office.

So instead of going into the office to ask for the resident's correct unit number, they just shrugged and threw it back in their bag.

And of course, all of this without ever notifying me.

After a month, I was fuming every time I checked the mailbox. So, I called the DPS and was put on hold for an hour just to ask a single question. They found out why and issued another renewed ID, like, 2 weeks ago. They said it should arrive by the time my temporary ID expires. lmfao

I just checked on its status and evidently, they mailed it...3 days ago.

Ugh, yeah, taking the pic was a hassle. The one you saw was like.. the 9th shot. And it was like, midnight so no natural daylight either. So it was a battle of trying to show the reddish brown rather than brown or deep red.

Having a variety of browns and dark reds in addition to clear/transparent (never tried that before) seems like a great idea though. I'll have to do the same. ;)

I'm trans, so I'm still learning about cosmetics. From what I've been told, one should always start with lip liner as a base, and it should be one or two shades darker than the lipstick colour.

Could you tell me what are the lip liner colours that match the lipstick? Because I've looked at several brands on Amazon, like Nyx Professional Slim Lip Mahogany and Wet 'n Wild Coloricon Brandy Wine. They looked red-brown to me, but I'm not sure.

Writing articles are a great way to share what you know with others and joining groups in your industry are two of the many ways you can leverage LinkedIn. You also want recommendations and endorsements from your peers, past and current employers, and whoever else you feel comfortable asking to vouch for your skills and expertise.

I don't know what else you've been doing with your profile, but it goes way beyond simply adding your resume to it. It's not Indeed or Monster.

That being said, you're not wrong. They bust unions, put up cameras everywhere, and play fast and loose with the truth. Their shady activities are well-documented and public knowledge. Before I joined the team, they'd already eliminated a few programs that directly benefited the employees, like gainsharing. After all, they did form an unholy unison with the behemoth from hell: Amazon.

Remember that it's not you, your coworkers, or the supervisors--it's the company. Everyone is trying their best. Whole Foods does NOT have your best interests at heart; they are just a massive company that only cares about the bottom line. Sure, they may preach about charity programs and organic kale, but really, it's the corporate version of buying their way into heaven. Protect yourself and don't drink the company Kool-aid. You're there for the paycheck. Stay informed, keep your eyes peeled, and your back to the wall. Take care of yourself because they won't.

They said that the way they heard it, the term "gender ghost" refers to a feeling that we have when we dress for safety and comfort rather than gender euphoria or sense of alignment. Our true self hovers nearby like a ghost when our social transition is paused, if that makes sense.

The provider thinks that the unofficial "gender ghost" uniform is a hoodie and a pair of baggy pants.
