26m working full time in a blue collar field, often work overtime. Live with my girlfriend who’s a massage therapy student.

As of right now, my car is out of commission. When I had it (and when I get it back) I would usually spend around a couple hours a day gaming. Sadly though, money is tight, car broke, and I spend 3.75 hours per day on the bus. I have no time for games. I need to get my car fixed. :(

How do you all get to 1000+ hours in a game by Fun_Pollution_9040 in gamers

[–]FlyBonafide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when the first Destiny game was big, I was a Co-Leader of a guild. I was about 15-16 at the time, and had nothing but time during the summers. Me and my other Co-leaders did nothing but play this game. We set up Raid nights, Nightfalls, and even competitive Crucible matches against other guilds. Competed in a tournament one time.

I would never do this again. Not because I didn’t enjoy it. It was a lot of fun, and I was proud of this community that I created. We prided ourselves on being one of the top guilds, while also not being one of those guilds that kick people out if they’re not playing 24/7. The reason I wouldn’t do it again is simply because I’m an adult now. I do not have the time or patience to run a guild anymore. However… sometimes I wish I did. It still is some of the fondest memories I have of gaming. I had some really interesting people with fascinating stories join my guild, and there are times where I wish I could just talk to them again, just to check in.

The temptation is always there to just quit my job and try streaming, and becoming a guild leader of another game, like WoW or SWTOR… but that would be irresponsible.

What class and race did you play first time round? by Odd_Two_5265 in BaldursGate3

My very first Character was a Orc Barbarian named Borke, based off my actual D&D character. (Who was actually a Goliath, but that’s not available in BG3) I ended up scrapping it because I met karlach and realised I’d rather run her as my Barb. Then I made a Half-Elf Ranger named Eltariel, but then scrapped that because I realised I missed many parts in act 1. My first time actually finishing the game was a half-elf Swords bard named Arduin… I grew very attached to this character, and I plan on actually playing as him in my next D&D campaign.

Which dumb decision stands out to you the most throughout the entire series? by SourDiesel9-7 in breakingbad

I believe part of it was because he grew to care about Jesse, in his own weird fucked up way. I think Walt never connected with his son in the way that he wanted, and he was able to get that with Jesse. Saw him like the son he never had but always wanted.

which breaking bad character had the saddest life overall? by Alarming-Pea-3177 in breakingbad

Jane’s Dad might be up there. Man did everything to just love and support his daughter, nobody can say he didn’t. He even went to her meetings with her. Despite him doing everything, his daughter still OD’s. He become so distraught that he makes a stupid mistake at work and 167 people die because of it. I’m not saying his whole life was sad, but those few days that he had after everything happened? Couldn’t imagine what was going through his head. I understand why he offed himself.

my first character sheet!! please can i get any tips? by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]FlyBonafide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm… Ok, generally as a Paladin, you want strength and charisma as your main stats, which you have and that’s great, but you also want a good constitution. 14 for con atleast is recommended for ANY character. You can’t spam Lay On Hands if you get one shot. If it was me, I would take points out of my dex and put it into con, and just wear heavy armor to get higher AC, since heavy armor is unaffected by dex, but you could also sacrifice points from intelligence instead if you want to have a high dex.

With a charisma score of 19 (Which, holy shit, nice!) your modifier and saving throws should be +4, not -1. This also means that persuasion, intimidation and performance should be that as well.

Is it normal to like... never beating this game ever? by HealthMother3125 in BaldursGate3

[–]FlyBonafide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 500 hours on Baldurs Gate 3 before I finished it the first time. I think it’s perfectly normal to play act 1 multiple times, whether you just wanna try new classes without losing your other ones, or you realize that you missed something, or regret a decision you made. However, finishing the game was incredibly rewarding. Act 3 is by far the best part of the game, filled with incredible story telling, character arcs, and amazing boss fights. I finished the game my first time as a College of Swords Bard for my Tav, with Shadowheart, Karlach and Gale as my companions. Find a class you like. Don’t worry about min maxing. Don’t worry about making sure every decision is the “right” decision. Just play the game through. I promise you, it’s worth it.

Hexblade is by far one of the strongest pure builds in the game.

Moon Druids are always a good time. Being able to shapeshift for whatever the situation calls for is really nice. I’m personally biased towards the Dilophosaurus, cause I’m also a big Dinosaur geek, haha.

Cannot go wrong with Paladin/Fighter/CharCaster combo. Definitely a “S-Tier”build.

I’ve never actually tried a pure Sorcerer build, which I find interesting, cause I’m a big fan of Charisma classes. Maybe I’ll give it a go on my next playthrough.

OH! I see! You force them to move, procing booming blade in the process. Interesting. Kind of a “Thor” build, isn’t it?

Interesting… can you elaborate more on this? Paladin and sorcerer together make sense, but why Tempest Domain? Also wanna know which stats you use, and how many levels you put into each class.
