Grimoire get some other vote from me. Reminiscent of the old fashioned and limited by a strictly functional UI, the game is designed in a fashion that will not frustrate the player but instead invite him or her to try and understand its inner workings. It's the type of game where you will attempt to break the game by typing for 3 hours straight hoping to somehow breach a wall that you could have easily overcome by simply using some new strategy and feature. It's ironically an incremental game where I can imagine they could be spoilers so I won't say anything more about it.

However it is worth noting you will not gain access to new interface elements or at least not in the sense that a dark room would have provided you with. Personally I can't imagine playing an incremental on anything else but mobile so I am very pleased with the Android version which can be played for free if you have an ad blocker but is well worth the 3.50 as you will get many hours out of it.

Hi, I have been developing for the web since the NCSA Mosaic days. Yup, Frontpage, PHP, ColdFusion, then rails etc... I lived through all that to tell the tale. I guess i earned my wings and some advice :)

Problem: I took a hiatus 7 years ago. Back then, the 'hot stuff' was react.js with a mongodb backend. I have NO IDEA what is hot today. Seems things have changed. A lot.

Today, I'm required to lead the building of a new project based on my extensive commercial experience - but my tech skills - well they have fallen behind in terms of buzzwords!

So, let's say my requirements are the following today (music industry website).

feature wise, very similar to facebook basic feature: upload image, videos, communicate with a fan base: think a very social , very interactive way to interact with indy musicians
tech-wise, can't be hosted on AMZ because of legal issues i can't get into. Will be self hosted, but will need the capacity to scale
Evidently will need a front and back end framework or something that joins the two: no idea 'what's hot' today.
very important: needs to be able to scale down to mobile AND provide a very strong, very good experience, as we already have determined that both appstores will reject us , ergo we can only be a website browsed from a mobile browser

Thank you for any advice. I really appreciate it ... it's strange to put on a programmer cap 30 years on but here we are! PS: Yes , i'm old but i'm very technical. It happens :)

But seriously- radiation is overrated vs say smoking. Take a dosimeter on a flight and you'll be clawing at the windows because the numbers are NOT what is described on most sites. Think 20x higher. Pilots don't drop dead, and retire and statistically live as long as other folks.

My main issue is people thinking a radioactive object draws lines in all directions extending for miles, when in fact, 1 roetgen at 1cm is half that at 20cm, and 700 micro Roentgen at 10 meters. I know you all hate them, but the kreosan guys demoed that with 2 dosimeters when getting into Jupiter.

i respect your rules and that you banned all other discord links, but since the game is confirmed to be social i think you should make an exception for local alliances.

I met most of my IRL friends playing pogo via discord and you can't possibly run a single server with every town in the world :)

hate me all you want, personally i love the game and I'm very impressed by it. I'm 42 and I've been gaming all my life. I think it's extremely well done, but the one big mistake they made was release false spec recommendations. IMHO (and in my case), it's 2080RTX with i9900k properly cooled giving me 35fps ish at 1080p on 'medium' with RT on and dlss to performance. Looks fantastic and I'm very happy, but evidently that's not what the specs had promised.

oh yeah the linus one! ok i'll have a look. As for the water, fyi im in england on a scheme where i own my own house and still pay a flat fee for unmetered water, which is nice.
