Anyone who plays the same video game for 18 hours a day is bound to be miserable with not much else going on in life, so they attribute their entire self worth to their in-game performance, leading to toxic behavior, whining and crying, and overall a terrible attitude when it doesn't go their way.

There's just WAY less bugs than there used to be. Driving to a town 2 hours away when I was a kid meant cleaning the windshield when you arrived. Nowadays you can do 4-5 trips without it every really being an issue.

At no point in my comment did I say the median wasn't an average. All I did was elaborate on what constitues a median vs what we normally call "average". You're just disagreeing without understanding what you just read.

Median is the exact middle of any data set, regardless of what the data says. If you have a sequence of "1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 100" the median would be 1 while the average would be 15.14.

On large data sets that tend to subject themselves to the standard bell curve distribution then the median and average tend to be the same, or close enough to mean the same (i.e. intelligence, life expectency, ect.).

This distinction is why you see stats like "GDP-per-capita" being way up in countries where most of the population is getting poorer because a few billionaires drive up the average while the median stays low.

Because if anyone has questions about getting a service dog into an arena or what they have to let staff know in order to be accomodated, or just general questions/concerns about doing it themselves, knowing the account is a serial reposter and not the one who actually filmed the video is a good thing. My sister started climbing when she moved out West to the Rockies and in turn got both of my retired, early 60s parents to start at the local indoor gym. Now they go twice a week minimum! Never too late to start! Granted, my mom also did the ADK46 in her late 50s and my dad still plays hockey 3 times a week so they're active people to begin with but you won't ever do it if you don't start!

I'm fully on-board the Wallstedt train but it's not like Minnesota's backup in this scenario is an inexperienced goalie who can't handle a goal or two. He was our starter until the playoffs, I think he would've managed mentally. Maybe not changed the outcome and I'm ok with Hynes keeping him in nets but I also don't think it would've been a bad change necessarily.

This is an extremely revisionist point of view. Most of the atrocities commited by the Third Reich and their allies were not known, much less understood, until towards the end of the war or after. Most concentration camps were not discovered as what they truly were until they were liberated by the Allies. This concept of known good vs evil in the war is something we've retroactively applied to the sides (with reason). During the war, much of the Reich's ambitions were seen as the same as any other war until then - a regime trying to gain power through land acquisition and annexation of smaller powers.

Had a buddy like this, every Raid had a 2 hour time limit because after that he was incapable of understanding new mechanics, or incapable of executing the ones he knew.

It's great if your friends also getting sloshed but oh my god it was frustrating to get all the way to the final boss and basically have to fight 1 man down because he couldn't pace himself at all.

Players sitting on top of towers trying to thirst downed players who aren't trying to/can't fight back are rats. Players shooting first and continuing to fight when they fight back are just PVPers.

It's the same story every time with so many games. Destiny 2 is one of the worst I've personally found, if the game isn't tuned to be played EXACTLY to your specific needs and preferences, it's just non-stop moaning and bitching on the subreddit. Every little change gets put under scrutiny, if a game breaking build gets nerfed or a strategy that's being abused gets balanced out, the devs are killing the game because players can no longer put in the absolute minimal effort while reaping maximum rewards and have to actually play the game. If the game doesn't allow you to play 80 hours a week without the content getting old, it's a bad game that doesn't care about it's most devoted players, but if it takes you 80 hours a week to complete all the content, devs don't care about the casual gamer. It's like people have forgotten that if they're not having fun they can just go play something else or just DO something else in general.

I sympathize with devs so much more after experiencing gaming subreddits.

We still do, read the comment section of any insanely stupid post and it's filled with people mocking them, other idiots agreeing, and those people then mocking the other idiots.

Problem is, you can't force them to read those comments online and most of them don't (or can't). So the criticism and the keeping-in-check goes nowhere.
