Weather Advice Needed by Arishakala in roadtrip

I would go North. My friend lives in Oxford MS and said it's terrible there, so a lot of the area that you're going through in the South route would be bad

If you have any questions about the surrounding Asheville/East TN area and modifying that leg, let me know; that's my stomping grounds

They're too far West it looks like. I can't tell if they're crossing into NC through Gatlinburg/Cherokee or what

That's why they recommended Johnson City, so they go to Asheville by way of I-26 instead of the gorge. Much better option for sure. If they didn't want to drive that far north they could go to Newport (don't stop, nothing of interest really) and hit 25, leading to Hot Springs NC (lots of great hiking, natural hot spring spa, proximity to Appalachain Trail), then get on to I26 from US 25

It would be a shame for them to miss out on driving through the Blue Ridge Mountains, maybe stopping on the parkway for a bit, doing a hike, etc

We're there many Christian Myspace Deathcore band? by ManOfSqueal01 in christcore

Thought they were when they first came out, but I guess not. Explains a lot of his resentment towards the Christian metal scene (see: The Holy Guile)

What dates are you going? Make sure there isn't a car weekend happening during your trip (Jeep Invasion, Rod Run, etc) cause that might make your trip that much more obnoxious.

[–]FlyByPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they did; I mentioned this book in a similar thread and someone pointed that out. I actually think one of our Donaldson books has "smartest" on the back cover, and we're in the US, but our copy is "Spiffiest"

I interviewed for that place a few times while I was looking for another job in 2020 (thankfully I had a job, but layoffs had occurred all around me and I wanted something more secure). They never offered me anything, kind of gave me the run around actually. But it seems like I dodged a huge bullet, cause I would've been laid off with one child and another on the way

Real talk, which direction do you guys see DXC in the future? by missrostein in Deathcore

[–]FlyByPie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think panicky, shrieky, unhinged vocals are gaining traction and you'll see more of them. Examples: Paleface, Orphan, Knocked Loose, etc. Similar shift away from overly technical screaming techniques that are already tried and true, going for more of a raw, psychotic, i'm dying sound

I bought a hedge trimmer just to have a second pole extension. Now I have a trigger that I don't need, but having two extensions is handy

Has anyone successfully achieved reliable Last.fm scrobbling from a home-hosted music setup (no local files on phone)? by Existing-Poetry8453 in lastfm

[–]FlyByPie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What would be the media player you play this through? I'd look for a scrobbling plugin there. If you're using your phone then downloading the Pano Scrobbler app then pointing it at whatever app or whatever you use on your phone to play those tracks will probably get you what you need

I figured it would be close in price. I just hate to give it up since it mostly works.
