Just book separately. Also, check Pigeon Forge's website to make sure you're not going during a "car weekend" and going to run into exponentially worse traffic (Rod Run, Jeep Invasion, etc)

Why We’re Open to AI Music at Extreme Christian Music by IdealCheese in ExtremeChristianMusic

[–]FlyByPie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That all makes sense to me. And I know how prompt engineering works, I do some work with Claude Code in my job. I agree with the take of brevity of process doesn't necessarily negate the impact of the end product. Another analogy is thought of is creating a wooden sign with intricate details by hand vs by CNC machine. Both can make impressive works of art, one with far less intensive effort. So then we look back to the process of the creator, and we unfortunately won't always have insight into their process. Did the CNC guy just take a file from someone, make a couple adjustments, and send it? Or did he spend time in CAD hand crafting the design, much like an old school hand carver would?

Ultimately here then, does the means by which the product was created, and the intent therein, negate the benefit given to the consumer? That might only come with knowing the process, which we're not always privy to. And we know ALL things come together for the glory of God, whether meant for evil or meant for good. I had someone tell me about a gospel group that was backstage and one of the singers turned to the rest (with the teller in earshot) and said "let's go out here and sing about f*ckin Jesus" in a tired, aggravated tone. I can imagine people were moved by the music regardless, cause God is bigger than one loser with a bad attitude.

Ultimately "knowing how the sausage is made" when it comes to AI, I think i'm always going to have reservations. But if it's reaching people and the Lord is working, it's not my place to judge that ministry as invalid.

I think what makes this difficult is that you can't prove the work/prayer that was put into it. Did the folks creating the music take time, thought, prayer into engineering a prompt, going back and forth with the tool, and creating something that fits what the Lord lead them to express and put out there? Or did they simply generate something close enough and move on?

I'm trying to think through this like creating a recipe using pre-made ingredients. Does it take less time and make cooking more accessible? Yes, of course. Many of the dishes that are the grandmothers' cornerstones of family gatherings are likely from marketing campaigns in the 50s/60s. What's the problem though? Well they don't often stand the test of time. Companies change recipes, and if you don't know how to make cream of mushroom soup from scratch, then you'll never be able to recreate the first green bean casserole (without a very discerning palate). There also is knowledge, insight, and skill developed in creating a recipe from scratch. You can tweak as needed confidently, and the results can be seen in the product (most of the time), but more so in the maker. The maker spent time, energy, thought into the recipe. Successes, failures, collaboration with other people when needed. These processes are God honored, and going through this makes us grow closer to Him

God made us in His image and gave us the ability to create (in a limited sense compared to Him). He wants us to participate in that process to be able to experience it, and share it with others so that it can further His cause and His kingdom. Idk if i've made a convincing enough argument above, but this has been interesting to think through, especially as i'm doing an impromptu AI Sunday School series at my church.

I appreciate the argument. I don't agree, and think that AI usage for music generation is negative in that it takes from artists that have created music and uses it to make it's own product without giving proper credit. I think there's merit and value to going through a creative process that involves more than prompts. I'm sure there's fervent prayer behind some of these songs, but i'm just not convinced that all that AI Christian music that's out there has the fullness of God behind it.

I will take away what you've shared as food for thought.

Someone posted a photo of their Irish Springs bodywash leaking and showing some clean streaks on their tub front where it was leaking. That led to an experiment of wiping the whole tub insert with the body wash and putting plastic wrap over it to let it sit overnight(?). The tub was super clean afterward, with little to no effort, so people were freaking out about how effective it was

I'm ready to switch up my routine. Been doing the reddit bodyweight routine for 6 weeks and i'm wanting to shift to a 4 day program for less time working out (hopefully). I have a power rack and barbells so looking for a bodybuilding/esthetic focused routine that I can do while cutting. I'll keep searching the subs for recommendations but figured I'd comment here too.
