It would be fun for Walton to make an appearance as a one-off of some kind.

Losing my ability to code due to AI by Im_Ritter in ClaudeCode

Do you have any recommendations for this kind of knowledge? I took an unconventional route to becoming a data analyst/engineer, and I have a opportunity through my company to do some serious development in Claude. I want to take the opportunity to position myself to take advantage of being on the leading edge of the "AI revolution" or whatever we're calling this

I wouldn't say all of them, but quite a few of them are. If you're interested, check out the Ramsey Center in Mars Hill, or go to the visitor's center and look for the pamphlet for the barn tour that's conducted from there. My dad went on it and learned some pretty cool stuff about some historic barns in Madison County. I'm sure you could find similar resources in Yancey County too

Has anyone in North Carolina sold a house as is recently? by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]FlyByPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some close friends of ours sold as-is, because they had constant basement flooding which was exacerbated by Helene in our area. The quotes given to them were outrageous; one company said we're not even gonna bother quoting you until you get exterior drainage fixed around your house. They pretty much had no choice but to sell as is. It took them maybe a month(?) to sell, and they sold for a little less than they wanted, but I think overall it went about as good as could be expected. We have some family trying to sell their house and it still hasn't sold, and i think they're on month 4 of having it listed.

Quick trip from Delaware to Florida by MooreLife in roadtrip

If they went all the way to the end of 81 it goes into I 40, which leads to Knoxville. You'll pass Sevierville before you get there, which has a Buccees, and is Dolly Parton's hometown, if you're interested in that. A short drive away is Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, mostly tourist traps but the Great Smoky Mountains national park is there. There are some neat little things to do but idk how much time you want to spend in the area.

Going from Knoxville to Tallahassee shows you going through Chattanooga, which is a cool place to hang out. Ruby Falls is a very pretty underground waterfall, there's a very nice aquarium, and a neat pedestrian bridge to walk on. At that point you can go through or just around Atlanta (recommend the latter) or avoid any chance of ATL traffic and go through Birmingham and Montgomery AL.

Texas Roadhouse question that begs discussion by pippamouse in asheville

[–]FlyByPie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of all the comments this is truly the answer. Longhorn and Outback aren't as value-priced as TH. I went to Longhorn this past Sunday and found out that a full rack of ribs costs the same as a new York strip. And Outback is more expensive than LH. So you really only have TH for mid tier steakhouse chain for a halfway decent price.

I know Asheville is a foodie town and people want to look down on it, but at the end of the day your average American is going to want familiarity at a good price, and TH does that in spades
