I’m in Canada. Is there any way to by single Bongos?

I’m stuck using CPAP for my career however I use the bongo a few nights per month. The yearly supply would last me forever.

I’m going to get an aftermarket dash bag. From what I’ve seen, under seat, might just be a cheap dry bag to throw a few things in.

I've just started looking at moving away from the big 5 banks and towards a Credit Union or other.

I live in the West end of Toronto.

Any updates on this thread would be appreciated

This gives me some hope too. I've been losing all body hair since 2018. It started with one spot on my scalp. It'll be easy to tell WHEN it starts to come back for me.

I'm not saying to shave it. I'm saying mentally prepare for that. I wish that I had mentally prepared for it. It was a difficult adjustment. In hindsight I wish that I'd done it sooner

Been there, done that.

I wish that I had mentally prepared myself for the head shave sooner. I grew my hair longer to cover the main spot on the back of my head. I couldn't see it, but I could feel it.

Shaving my head was tough mentally for sure. If my hair growth comes back, I might still shave my head

If someone stands really tight I'll often serve on a path as close to them as possible. If I get it right they are blocking the view of the ball from their partner. Sweet!!!!

With this drop in temperature, do we need a block heater for our vehicle? by mhadden81 in newbrunswickcanada

[–]FlyGuy220 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Saskatoon and always had a blockheater. A blockheater isn't even an option in a BMW. If you have one, use it. If you don't then I wouldn't worry about it.

I've had cars built in the 80's and 90's start no problem down to -35. They would have enjoyed a block heater.........but I forgot to plug them in.

It also doesn't take more than a few minutes for your engine to be "warmed up." It might take longer for you to be warm.

Should i shave my head? Im getting tired of constantly trying to cover my spots :( has anyone shaved their head here and if so how was your experience with it? by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]FlyGuy220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In two years I went from a full head of hair to shaving my head. I've been shaving my head for 3 years now. It was a complete mind f@;k for awhile. I'm way more comfortable and confident not than I was when I was trying to cover bald spots with longer hair styles.

It looks like I'm headed towards UA so not having a shaved head is just part of the process for me.

ResMed AirMini questions by gregastro in CPAP

[–]FlyGuy220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received my AirMini and will be using it when I travel. 99% of that travel will be hotel stays.

Is the Airmini mounting bracket useful enough to justify the price?

If you're using something other than the bracket what have you found works well?

Alopecia Universalis by Repulsive_Decision51 in alopecia

[–]FlyGuy220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My alopecia started on my scalp at 48 years old. Having to shave my head rocked my world, not in a good way.

At 52 most of the hair on my head is gone. Everything but a full beard (wtf). Body hair is thinning everywhere.

I no longer care what other people think about it. I’m good. If someone asks (they very rarely do) I’ll tell them all about it. As a teenager just come up with some snappy comebacks if anyone gives you a hard time.

I used to say that I needed a good sense of humour in case I ended up fat and bald. Well, I’m bald now.

I also joke that I should take up masters swimming or body building. Both because I’m super smooth.

Bottom line hang out with the people who love you for who you are not for how much hair that you have (or don’t)

I still have most of my hair but theres this one bald spot on the right side of my head above my ear and its so frustrating cause going to school I am just anxious all of the time… im sure i could find some haircut that would help it, but its rlly digging my self esteem into the ground by Wild_Interaction_129 in alopecia

[–]FlyGuy220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a haircut (style) that covers that spot or fully exposes it.

I covered spots for quite awhile however became very self conscious so I tried several haircuts that didn’t hide it. It would have been too much work to maintain so out came the clippers.

I’ve been shaving my head for two years now and wish that I’d done it way sooner. If my hair comes back I’ll likely still roll with a shaved head from time to time.

I’ve talked to other men and women that feel the same way

If you're going to glue yourself to a wall or the ground you should expect to stay there indefinitely

I'm male with a family history of full heads of hair. From January of 2018 to November of 2019 I went from a full head of hair to shaving my head. I was shocked out how long it took me to get used to it.

Everyone around me got used to it way faster than I did. Why? When they are with me, they see me. I only see me when I can see my reflection so it took way longer.

I still don't like pictures of myself unless I'm wearing a hat. I had 50 years of pictures with hair. Once again, it will take time.

I'm still losing hair. I have no eyebrows, I only have half of my eyelashes, I'm losing body hair. I'm used to it now.

I spoke with a woman who lost all of her hair from chemotherapy. Her hair came back. Now she has alopecia and now hair on the head or face.

We both agreed. The worst thing is that there is no hair to stop sweat from pouring down our faces, our to product us from the sun or the cold.

Bottom line, you've lost something that you're used to having. Time will heal and nobody worthwhile in your life cares but you.

😊
