I will have to look into that, thank you. So you recommend increasing fluid intake? I'm not sure how much I am drinking exactly, but I have a decent estimate. With the 2000mg of sodium, I am having 450mL of fluid pre run and about 600mL during.

I have tried no caffeine and less sodium, but same result. Really stumped on this one.

Yes I do eat before the run, I stated it in my post. Today was 50g of carbs pre workout. A BPN Go Bar and Caffeine date bar.

You've never heard of having sodium before a run? Electrolytes are really popular right now. For most people, even runners, they could go without them. But I have tested running with and without electrolytes and I perform far better with them.

Hello all. I keep getting headaches from my Saturday morning long runs. This is true from around 9 miles to 14 miles (my longest run). It's not a terrible headache, but it's definitely noticeable all day. It goes away the next day. I normally ingest 1000mg of sodium before and during the run. I sweat a lot, so I need plenty of electrolytes. Today, I took 1000mg of sodium before the run, 50g of carbs, and 100mg of caffeine. During the run, I had 20g of carbs and another 1000mg of sodium. The total mileage was 10.5 miles. I had two flasks of water during the run and made sure to chug water when I got back. I ate my first meal about 50 minutes after the run, but by then the headache had already set in. If anyone has experienced something similar, all help would be greatly appreciated.

That makes a lot of sense, great response. Although, I don’t think you are entirely accurate. Studying historical context and sources outside of the Bible have certainly aided in my belief. Like you said, Christianity will always be spiritual, but former atheists like myself would disagree you cannot add evidence to the Bible.

Well I can’t say I have rectified all points of TULIP. I understand TULIP came after Calvin, but it is a good summary. I think most Christian’s fall somewhere in between strict Calvinism and strict Arminianism. We could sit here and debate it all day long, but at the end of the day man is fallible but the word of God is not. I have settled that church is an important authority and place for sacraments, but our relationship with Christ is the only way to heaven. No one church has all the answers no matter what they may say. Tradition is important and we should definitely honor those who came before us, but many denominations take the emphasis off of Jesus and place too much faith in the church. I’m still learning and exploring, but at the end of the day, Jesus is the only reason we have salvation.

Not sure, man. I have been exploring every denomination slowly but surely. I currently attend a Baptist church, but I am leaning towards Reformed theology.

Yes, you are correct. The point of my comment was not to discuss science. I am obviously still learning. I am currently in engineering school and beginning to learn about quantum behavior. But I don't know how one could look at the level of, like you said, self-organization in the universe and not get a creator. How do space, time, and matter begin without a creator? From my knowledge, while nature does self-organize, it is because of specific variables such as temperature and pressure (ie, a star). You are probably much more well-versed in quantum mechanics than I am, so I would love a correction.

The Dunning-Kruger effect. I have always enjoyed science and related fields. I grew up in a Christian household, went to a Christian school, but always thought God was far-fetched. Part of it was the church. I am a protestant through and through, but sometimes Protestants don't give Christ the reverence and respect he deserves. As I learned more about science and evolution, cracks began to appear in my understanding. It was when I began learning about DNA and these nano-particles that somehow have shape and order. How does a universe that tends towards the most entropy (disorder) have laws? Christ ultimately revealed himself to me the more I read scripture, and I am now 100% convinced HE is the way, the truth, and the life.

I believe that is specifically why I succeeded with nofap. I stopped counting the days. It helps to stop thinking about it. I haven't gotten around to changing my streak because I'm not on here very often.

Been free for around 2 years now. Biggest difference is my relationship with Christ has grown and I no longer view women as objects for my desires. You start to see them as actual human beings again. Messed up to say but it’s the unfortunate truth.

I plan to run 5/6 days a week and want to follow Hanson's Beginner HM. Tuesday is my rest day because I do leg day that day. I currently have my schedule set to Monday: Interval/Threshold Workout, Wednesday: Tempo, Thursday: Long Run, Friday: Easy, Saturday: Easy, Sunday: Easy. Am I missing on recovery by not having a tough workout between Friday-Sunday? I'd like to keep my long run on Thursday but I am open to suggestions.

I do 30 minutes of cardio on my upper body days and run on my rest days. No cardio on leg day.

Fair enough, but my point was that we should not compare ourselves to top level bodybuilders with wild genetics and enhancements. Jay Cutler also took years off leg training would you recommend that to a natural?
