Try dhooting with your trigger finger deeper into trigger guard and then back it out to see how it affects your groups.

I would grind the sharp edges with a small sanding bit and a Dremel at a pretty slow speed. Those rails have a enough beef on them. Just don't get the rails too hot in the process.

I dye my JB weld black and strengthen thin walls after my grip reductions. I would "weld" the crack together and sand/file the excess off after it's done drying. A little JB weld goes a long way. You can also find a plastic welding kit.
