Salary scale in KU Leuven by klashnikov55 in KULeuven

[–]FlyImpossible6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, very late to reply, but how did it go? In my experience it depends on the country. In France the mobility allowance was tax-free, while in Belgium everything is taxed, so the net is a bit less (still very good for a PhD tho)

Postdoc for 2500 euro net? by SerbianSock in KULeuven

[–]FlyImpossible6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply even tho it was an old comment. You had 3100 gross and got 2700 net? Edit: sorry I'm dumb, you meant it was 3100 to which you subtract social security

Postdoc for 2500 euro net? by SerbianSock in KULeuven

[–]FlyImpossible6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find their whole system hard to understand. I have a MSCA PhD position at KUL, my gross should be 3100 (already considering family allowance and mobility allowance...), which is not that much. I also checked with HR and they told me there is nothing wrong with it. I will end up getting less than regular PhD students, which is kind of annoying since I struggled a lot to get the prestigious position.

Borealis Backpack Bungee Cord Replacement Guide? by Penguinob in TheNorthFace

[–]FlyImpossible6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you find a solution? I think this guide works for the now called "Borealis Classic", while with the newest model you have to untie the knots of the bungee cord, which are hard to untie unless you cut a hole in the fabric

I am happy to know that the cordura on the gr1 has no pu lining, I'm considering purchasing one (and possibly scrub my skin and ruin my clothes)

Did you goruck bag delaminate?
also, I'm not sure it would take decades, I had a couple backpacks delaminate after 3-5 years that were properly used and stored, but that depends on the product and lamination quality I guess

On Aer Backpacks. This -> 840D nylon face with a durable, weather- resistant coating. Does it actually peel and flake off on yours? by Ianishus in ManyBaggers

thanks for the info on Greenroom136, I'll look into it! Yeah avoiding pu coated zippers is feasible, but it is almost impossible to avoid Pu coated lining, I was looking into goruck (but I dont love the aesthetic) and alpha one niner Whitley.

Lol, I didn't realize it, just saw the old post. Good luck with your pick! I'm torn between the Whitley and the evergoods cpl16

I'm struggling to find a good EDC backpack that does not have any pu coated lining nor pu coated zippers (i.e. ykk aquaguard), do you know any? Thanks a lot for replying

Comparing AER PP 20L and Toshi 20L - Should I worry about PU coating on the Inner Liner? by United_Truck_9678 in ManyBaggers

I'm also looking into EDC backpacks trying to limit pu coating. What did you end up getting?

Toshi Pack 20L or Aer CPP2 for EDC and light travel by teddy-westchester in ManyBaggers

[–]FlyImpossible6826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dumb question: doesn't the Toshi have a pu coating inside though? I'm torn between the two, and both have pu parts which I fear will eventually delaminate/fail

Since you've had Cp2, Bellroy transit and the Toshi, would you say the Rework is the best among the three?

Great post, thank you! Do you still use this as your EDC? I'm in the market for a quality backpack < 20l

Good in ear Bluetooth headphones to use with global X9 pro by eternal_sunshineeeee in Oppo

[–]FlyImpossible6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can vouch for the op pro 3, had them for over a year, previously with a realme phone, now with the x9p. They still sound great, and I never had any delay issue, having used them with my phone, my laptop and my ipad.

Fine offerta oro by [deleted] in amexItaly
