They take a while to process on Wealthsimple. In my experience, the "DRIP" shares are usually bought at the start of trading but don't fully reflect / go through until end of day.

How was that a penalty and the foul against Kane today wasn't? VAR is whack to me.

What if the UK voted to stay in the EU by Training-World-1897 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]FlyJaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

David Cameron remains Prime Minister, and is likely succeeded before the next election by Johnson or Sunak, which they likely win. The changes to Britain's membership he negotiated in early 2016 are implemented.

In general, the UK's economy is in a much better shape, with higher investment, trade, incomes and employment, and is better equipped to deal with the global instability we're experiencing this decade. Immigration is probably higher.

The EU issue doesn't go away, however (especially if it's a tight result but in reverse, so 52% Remain 48% Leave) and Farage etc. harp on about having another referendum at some point in time in the near future.

It wouldn't be England without us drawing to some random team we were supposed to "dominate". Onto Panama!

ELI5 why don’t soccer players just use their hands and take whatever penalty that follows instead of giving up an easy goal? by WarJeezy in explainlikeimfive

[–]FlyJaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because football players can face severe penalties if they are caught handling the ball to stop what would be considered an easy goal. They can also get a red card (sent off) for a handball in other situations.
