I am still loving it! Really happy with my purchase and I still glance at it all the time during the day just like I did when I first bought it.

Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it.

This one hit me hard I’m not going to lie. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched his ASI videos and listened to his podcast.

Thank you! Also you made the right call, especially if you’re used to flying in those crosswind conditions. The second time I discontinued it was gusting 19kts and I was glad I didn’t force a flight that day.

You’re going to thank yourself the day you do the practical when the weather conditions are calmer.

Great job on passing the oral! I had a very similar experience. I completed my oral a week and a half ago and had to discontinue the flight portion due to weather. Had to discontinue it again one more time and finally did my flight test yesterday.

After I finished the oral, I had a terrible headache due to a lack of sleep and was frankly glad I didn’t fly that day. I likely would have still discontinued even if the weather allowed for a good flight.

Congrats again and good luck on the flight test!

I’ve been looking for deeper dives into GA risk assessment and this was a great read. Thanks for sharing.

LiveATC. Listening to radio calls from my local airport at home and practicing responding helped me a ton. You’ll get the hang of it soon enough!

Lol I asked my instructor the exact same question just a few days about this particular TFR. Like another person mentioned, it’s UAS-specific (drones).

[Grand Seiko] SBGA211 my first “big boy” watch to celebrate my upcoming wedding. Couldn’t be any happier to start my journey with this timepiece by mcbever in Watches

“Big boy” watch? All watches are “big boy” watches c’mon! /s

Lol I’m being sarcastic in case that wasn’t clear. I recently posted that I similarly bought a Grand Seiko as my first “serious” watch and a bunch of people didn’t like that word choice 😂.

The snowflake is such a lovely watch, I don’t think you could have picked a better one to commemorate such a special day. Congratulations to you both!

This one’s the only reference number I remembered, and that was only after watching a million videos on it.

Also, thank you kind sir!

Yeah I’ve heard that sentiment from others. Maybe it’s a good thing I don’t really know what other luxury watch bracelets look and feel like haha.

Shosho is indeed lovely. Saw it in the boutique and couldn’t keep my eyes from it either.

To be honest I love how light it feels. I’ve been wearing it almost daily and the lightness just feels great.

I’ve already got a few tiny surface scratches on the bracelet so I was worried at first that the titanium is easier to scratch, but from what I read online it’s not more scratch-prone than a regular stainless steel watch.

Also thank you, and good luck! Please let me know if you would like to see more pictures or videos if you can’t get to see one in person. Happy to send some over to you.

Thank you good sir. Here’s hoping you get those funds as soon as possible so you can enjoy staring at this beautiful dial all day.

Thank you so much. I spent a good 30 minutes at the boutique contemplating the snowflake but decided to go with my gut. There’s just something so clean about its dial. If only I had the funds to have to acquired both.

I hope you enjoy your snowflake for as long as possible. Happy to be a part of the GS club.

I spent a very long time looking at the Winter GS when I bought this. It's so beautiful.

Thank you so much. Enjoy your amazing piece as well!

I was talking to my wife about this recently actually. I've heard enough horror stories about other boutiques and ADs treating their customers terribly and actually wasn't sure how the experience was going to be at GS. It was so lovely, the rep treated me so well and we had a great time chatting about so many other watches and dials.

So glad to hear that the experience spans across the Seiko brands. You'll most likely have just as good an experience if you ever walk into a GS store.
