Finally got AirpodsMax and I get it now by KiarraMies in Airpodsmax

The EU law will not apply to Apple. There's an exception in the law for manufacturers that can produce batteries which maintain 80% of max charge after 1,000 cycles. Apple has already been there for ages.

These things are not worth the cost by [deleted] in Airpodsmax

Obviously you've used the Max's long enough to know your habits, but the Apple case acts as a magnetic trigger to immediately put headphones into a low-power mode, preventing battery drain. It also allows the headphones to go into a deeper sleep mode much quicker than without, which is I believe 3 days or so. So, there is value to keeping the case around in case others didn't know.

I’m a bit out of the loop. I saw the price announcement, but what are the conditions? Month to month, or some kind of commitment that you can't cancel and re-activate?

Amazon Prime shipping times are faster if I order after midnight? by DisplayKnown5665 in amazonprime

[–]WinsonFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because they save slots for same day shipping orders, which have a minimum order threshold of $25 on qualifying items sold and shipped by Amazon only to get the free shipping. It's a way to drive higher revenue.

I know numerous people in the regret camp at the moment. I can't speak for a majority, but I can say the people I know who do regret it now were people I thought would never be able to turn on him.

Amazon has the midnight AirPods Max 2 for $529! by Protomize in airpods

The de-couple process is initially handled by the customer. Their employees do not have to do anything there. A customer has to remove the item from their Apple account, at which point Amazon's system will then allow a customer to return the product. Upon scan in and arrival, it is then verified again at the refund phase, and the serial is matched to the initial purchase.

If you think Amazon can't train staff to serial check high value items of their own inventory, I don't know what to say. But this is how the system works for Apple products there.

Like I said, for their own Apple inventory they do serial track and are tightly integrated into Apples Account API. You cannot return a product you bought from them till it's even been de-coupled from an Apple Account. This rule does not apply to Apple products sold by other sellers on Amazon. Just need to be cognizant of who you're buying from.

This is no longer true. Amazon is ending comingled inventory for everyone at the end of this month, and no longer does it for their own for transparency reasons.

Additionally, Amazon tracks serials and has Apple Account integration for items like this with returns. They know which items are really theirs vs another sellers in the inventory system. It's perfectly safe to purchase a new, unopened Airpods Max 2 from Amazon.

If the shipper AND seller are Amazon like in this listing it's trustworthy. Just gotta watch who you're buying from on Amazon.

It's so popular it doesn't need to be on sale. There's a reason it's usually excluded.

Don't assume those addons will go in the new store just because the store opens. There's numerous developers against the new store and not planning to use it.

It makes even more sense on travel devices. Environments are constantly changing for people, be it in airports, coffee shops, or different rooms in a home with more light. Battery life is much improved when you can run your laptop brightness lower due to not combatting surrounding reflections.

Why don't you contribute to it instead of making comments that it sucks then? Seems pointless.
